Bethany went directly from the train station to Riverspire

Bistro.

She had just arrived at the entrance of Riverspire Bistro when

she received a message from Julio.

“Dummy, waiting for you on the top floor.“”

Bethany took the elevator up and as soon as she entered the

lobby, she saw Julio waving at her.

She walked over and sat down across from Julio.

“Dummy, what do you want to eat? I don’t know if your taste

has changed as you grew up. Why don’t you order for

yourself?”

Julio handed the recipe to Bethany.

Bethany handed him the recipe and gracefully gestured in sign

language, “I invite you to dinner, with your preferences in mind,

you choose.”

“You ordered, I ordered, isn’t it the same? You know, I’m not

picky!”

Julio still gave the recipe to Bethany.

Actually, Julio had changed.

No longer was he the fatherless, brawling street hoodlum.

Perhaps due to his experiences in his youth, he still had a hint of

unruliness, but he had already transformed into a wealthy

gentleman from a prestigious family, with a touch of

composure and elegance.

Bethany had difficulty communicating and did not push back

with him anymore.

She ordered a meal.

Married to Terrence for seven years, she also learned many etiquettes that a wealthy lady should know.

In this upscale restaurant, she knew how to place an order.

Terrence attended every occasion without her, no matter how much she studied, it was of no use.

While waiting for the food, Bethany took out the diamond necklace and signed guiltily, “I’m sorry, I accidentally broke the hidden speaker inside. The sound function was useful for me as a non–verbal person, but it’s useless for others now. It is still an

Bethany handed the necklace to Julio.

Julio quickly took the necklace and said, “It’s okay, I will go back

to repair it.”

Bethany quickly waved her hand, “Julio, you are tricking me. I have carefully examined it, and it is a real diamond, not a fake. I cannot accept such an expensive gift from you.”

Bethany opened her wet eyes and saw that it was Evangeline.

Evangeline’s wrist was painfully squeezed by Julio.

She furrowed her brow and tried hard to free her hand.

“You wild man, you hurt me, do you know who I am? Take your dirty hands off me now!”

“I don’t care who you are! Apologize to her!”

Julio was furious, with veins popping on his forehead, and he

felt a sense of self–blame in his heart. He had inadvertently

allowed Dummy to be bullied.

Bethany got up and urgently gestured to Julio, “Let her go, she is Terrence’s sister!“”

Julio loosened his grip in the palm of his hand, and Evangeline pulled out her arm, raising her hand to slap Julio.

Bethany stepped forward to intervene,

Evangeline’s palm firmly landed on Bethany’s face.

She was just very angry and used a bit too much force.

Instantly, a few red finger marks appeared on Bethany’s fair face.

Evangeline’s face froze, looking at her hands in a panic.

She never thought about hitting Bethany.

Julio couldn’t hold it anymore, even with glasses that added a

touch of sophistication to him, he couldn’t suppress the air of ruffianism emanating from him.
