Ex-Husband Begone (Bethany and Terrence) novel Chapter 55

ethany took out her phone and typed a line of text.

“Divorced Terrence.”

Randy saw the line of words, his cloudy gaze tightening.

“Divorce him? Where will you go after the divorce? You, a

mute, where will you work and how will you support yourself?

You must be crazy!”

Bethany typed a line of text on her phone.

“I will take care of these matters, no need for you to worry.”

Randy looked at the words on his phone, raised his head, and

stared at Bethany.

“I remember Terrence had you sign a prenuptial agreement, so

if you divorce him, you won’t get anything. You’ve been

married to him for seven years, how many more seven–year

cycles does a woman have in her lifetime? Are you willing to

accept that?”

How many seven–year periods are there in a woman’s life?

Chapterss

If she lived a little longer, there might have been another seven

years.

However, this was her last seven years.

The last seven years of her life were spent entirely on Terrence.

Seven years ago, Terrence wanted to marry her.

She was so happy that she forgot everything.

Even if it was a prenuptial agreement, she didn’t think it was a big deal.

She wanted love, wanted Terrence, she didn’t need anything

else.

It seems ridiculous now.

She replied to Randy.

“May the loser be willing to accept the bet.”

“How did you determine that you would definitely lose? Have you fought for it since Krista appeared?”

At this moment, Randy no longer beat around the bush and directly revealed that Krista had a relationship with Terrence.

Bethany sighed helplessly.

“I gambled for seven years and finally got the answer.”

She showed Randy the words on her phone.

“What a useless thing!”

Randy stood up and didn’t want to communicate with her

anymore.

Randy went out and called for Evangeline.

Evangeline took the medicine that Emery wanted to eat out of

the bag and handed it to Bethany.

“This is the medicine Emery had to take every day, don’t forget

to remind him to take it on time.”

After Randy and Evangeline left, Bethany handed the medicine

to Eliza.

Eliza saw that the medicine box was filled with children’s

medication, knowing it was Emery’s. She said, “Mrs. McConnell,

you usually give Mr. Emery his medicine.”

Bethany stared at Eliza for a while.

Eliza quickly said, “Mrs. McConnell, I’m sorry, I will give Mr.

Emery his medicine on time.”

“Maybe busy.

Emery felt very aggrieved.

He couldn’t feel his mother’s love anymore and angrily puffed

up his cheeks.

When he was about to say something, the phone watch rang.

His eyes lit up instantly, and he exclaimed in surprise, “It’s

Krista.”

He quickly answered the phone and walked outside.

Krista, I heard Evangeline say that you left. Why didn’t you tell

me anything?”

Emery’s words full of dependence, like thin needles, stabbed

into Bethany’s heart.

How long had he known Krista before he liked her so much?

Bethany first learned that liking someone can be inherited.

“Ah, you said my dad went with you? Sob sob sob… Why didn’t

you take me along, leaving me at home? I also wanted to go…“”

Bethany had just picked up the scissors when she accidentally

cut her hand with one swift motion.

The bright red blood gushed out all at once.

She stared at the blood droplet on her index finger, her eyes

lifeless.

She sat there blankly, for what seemed like a few minutes, and

Emery came over again.

“Mom, Dad wants to talk to you.”

Emery turned on the speakerphone of the smartwatch.
