She didn’t want to do that.
She wanted to die, but also wanted to die with dignity.
Did you admit it?
The man was surprisingly not angry, but his tone became much milder.
She lowered her head.
Terrence was default.
He released her waist and leaned against the car door. “So, the
purpose of your pretending to be sick was to prevent me from
taking Krista to the hospital?”
Terrence’s anger subsided by half.
Bethany admired his thought process and raised her hand,
“What have you done, don’t you know?”
Terrence frowned slightly, “It’s time for you to wake up and
realize what you have done.”
We had communicated well last night, but when I woke up this

morning, the decision had changed.
He was said to be wealthy, powerful, and confident, but why
didn’t he go assertively and snatch his true love? He only knew
how to force her.
Talking about all kinds of nonsense excuses, tools, he didn’t
understand a single word.
He was infuriated.
Terrence’s hand slipped into the inner pocket of his suit, took
out his cigarette, and lit it.
While smoking, I patiently waited for Bethany’s response.
Bethany looked at his calm and stern face, sometimes blurred,
sometimes clear, whether clear or blurred, he was handsome
and unattainable.
She admired him for being able to appear so carefree.
He elegantly blew a puff of smoke onto her face, as if flirting,
“Haven’t thought it through yet, hmm?”
Bethany didn’t want to have any more entanglement with him.
She gestured irritably, “Our matters, we’ll handle them
ourselves. Don’t take your anger out on others. As long as you

promise me not to pick a fight with the Mendez family, I
guarantee that you’ll immediately disappear from your sight,
out of Vespera Villa.”
Terrence’s gentle and handsome face suddenly darkened. He
took a deep drag of his cigarette, and beautiful smoke rings
escaped from his mouth. He pinched the cigarette butt and half
of his body leaned into the car.
Bethany instinctively pressed her back against the seat back.
But Terrence threw the cigarette butt into the car’s ashtray.

tremble.
Just now, he had already held the unfinished half–cigarette
between his thumb and index finger, annoyed to the point of
almost angrily flicking the cigarette butt away.
But he still didn’t litter everywhere.
He leaned into the car, not pulling his upper body out, but
getting closer to Bethany. The knuckles of his hand tightened
Bethany pushed open the door of the co–pilot and went down.
“Beth…”
Krista shouted.
Emery rolled his eyes and pursed his lips.
Mom was really unreasonable. Krista was so proactive in caring
for her, but she ignored her.
I am speechless.
Terrence’s eyes were even darker.
Really didn’t know any better.
Slapped him, scolded him.
He tolerated her without complaint, asking her if she pretended
to be sick to prevent him from bringing Krista to the hospital. If
she admitted it, he could forgive and forget.
Women are petty and jealous, which adds spice to the

relationship between husband and wife.
Really not ordinary, so stupid.
“Terrence, I better get off the car, Beth seems to really dislike
me.”
Krista was about to open the car door when Emery immediately
grabbed her hand.
Terrence said indifferently. “It’s none of your business. She’s just
being unreasonable. Don’t bother with her. Give her some time
and she’ll go back on her own.”
“Yeah, Krista, my mom has been a little off these days. Let’s give
her some time to calm down.”
