Chapter 20
He stepped forward and pulled Gabrielle into a tight embrace.
It was a firm hug, full of relief, excitement, and careful reverence.
Gabrielle’s body tensed slightly, but she didn’t pull away.
She rested in his arms, listening to his strong heartbeat, feeling the warmth of his body.
She felt that she was really letting go of the past two decades.
“Thank you, Gabrielle.”
Zachary whispered in her ear, his voice trembling just slightly.
He then pulled away, but kept his hands gently on her shoulders, his eyes glowing with emotion.
“I won’t let you regret your decision today.”
Gabrielle saw the light in his eyes, and something in her heart began to melt.
Maybe this truly was a new beginning.
A life and love that truly belonged to her.
After over ten hours of smooth flight, the plane finally landed at the private airport in Mossvale.
The Terralonian sun was bright and dazzling.
Zachary held Gabrielle’s hand as they descended the airstairs.

Zachary lowered his head and kissed her gently on the forehead.
“Get some rest. Adjust to the time difference. I’ll cook for you tonight.”
Gabrielle blinked in surprise. “You cook?”
In her mind, a rich man like Zachary should’ve been the type who never even entered the kitchen.
“I learned it for you.” Zachary smiled like a cat who had just stolen a fish.
“I promise it’ll look good, smell great, and taste amazing.”
In the days that followed, Gabrielle began her new life in Mossvale.
Zachary canceled nearly all unnecessary work and devoted himself to staying by her side.
He really could cook and he was quite good at it.
Different styles of cuisine, desserts, soups… he cooked her all kinds of food.
Back in her previous life, Gabrielle had always restrained her diet to maintain a so–called elite image.
Now she was unburdened and with Zachary’s meals, her complexion improved visibly.
Zachary also took care of everything else.
He remembered her period, preparing hot cocoa and heating pads in advance.
He noticed her preferences, silently buying things she had glanced at twice.

He took her to explore all over Mossvale…
They walked on Stockroch Beach, watching sunsets.
They stargazed at Nova Heights Observatory, overlooking the city’s skyline.
They went to art exhibits at Altura Center. Even though it wasn’t his thing, he went simply because she liked it.
They strolled through supermarkets like a regular couple and went to cinemas and cafes.
Zachary never hid his affection for Gabrielle.
At the supermarket, he’d push the cart while Gabrielle tossed snacks in like a playful child. He’d just smile and say, “Grab a few more.”
At cafes, he’d even blow on her coffee to cool it down just enough.
