Bye Bye Lovesick Puppy No Longer Chasing Your Glow, I Became My Own Sun novel Chapter 80

Chapter 80

According to Jane, Zoe was alone in the Reed Mansion with servants, his nanny got sick and went to her village to recover. As Melody and Felix weren’t in the picture, that kid was tormented beyond words. I really sympathized with Zoe, given that his living conditions should be better to grow up in.

A brilliant idea flashed through my mind. “Jane, can you call Zoe and ask him if he would like to stay at our home? Like a sleepover for a week or so?”

Jane’s beautiful face boomed with happiness; she was overexcited to hear my proposal.

“That will be great, mommy. Zoe and I will play after school.”

She clapped gleefully and called Zoe through her smartwatch. Her friend’s serious voice from the other side cut through my heart.

“I am doing fine, Jane.”

I was a bit relaxed that my daughter was fine, but the desolation of that young child ached my heart. As for me, Zoe wasn’t different from Jane. The emptiness of his voice was just a glimpse of his loneliness, the absence of parents wasn’t a healthy atmosphere for a child to live in at all.

So, when Jane offered to let him come over here, he couldn’t hide his glee.

“I would love to live with you, Jane. Can I come now?

His impatience brought a smile to my face, I nodded in response.

“Get ready, Zoe. I am coming to pick you up!”

Zoe’s addition to our family was a pleasant experience, Jane introduced him to Bright.

“Daddy, Zoe is my best friend, I told you about him.”

Bright was also saddened to learn about his story, he welcomed him with an open heart.

Just like that, time flew while laughing and enjoying, this quality family time allowed us to bond closely. When I thought that life couldn’t be better than this, the devil of my life knocked on my door to make his appearance.

I was working from home because of the doctor’s advice to rest. So, Echo reported to me about a melodrama at work.

“Please use the search word, the most passionate lover‘ on social media, ma’am. You are in trouble.”

“What’s the matter now?”

The side effects of social media had almost taken my life last time, so I only checked the official business news now to keep my sanity. But it was evident from Echo’s statement that I had to return to that global village.

Preparing myself for a shock, I logged in to my account. The first post’s appearance on my laptop’s screen quaked the ground below my feet….
