She had a bandage wrapped around her forehead, and from start to finish, she only said three things to him.

Roxanne was talking about some funny things that happened during the recording, and Maxwell was half–listening.

For some reason, what kept popping up in his mind was what the masked woman said to him-“You should go ask her what she said to me.”

“…Max, Max?” Roxanne’s voice came.

Maxwell finally snapped out of it.

He glanced at Roxanne, signaling that something was up.

“Max, what were you thinking about?” Roxanne asked. “I saw you spaced out for a long time.”
