Chapter123
He paused for a moment, but still didn’t want to let go of her hand.
“Steph, what happened with Groena was an accident. We could have another kid,” he said.
His body reacted strongly, he felt hot all over, and could only hold her tightly.
“If you wanted to do it, go find Roxanne.” Her voice was full of sadness.
“Weren’t you guys together all these days?”
“Probably had it before too.”
Her voice was all choked with tears: “Maxwell, don’t pick on me.”
“I thought it was dirty.”
She cried even harder.
Her chest kept heaving, she was really upset..
Maxwell wanted to say he and Roxanne hadn’t done it, it wasn’t like what she thought.
But she had already made up her mind, so whatever he said was useless.
Forget it.
Maxwell frowned, but in the end, he just couldn’t bear to make her sad again.
He sat up straight and looked at her. clothes all messy on the bed.
His desire didn’t fade at all, he took his hand out of her clothes and turned away.
His Adam’s apple bobbed up and down, and Maxwell closed his eyes. trying hard to endure.
Moonlight came through the window and lit up the whole room.
Hearing her sobs gradually die down, he helplessly looked down at a certain part of himself.
The bed moved a bit, and Stephanie sat up.
She buttoned up her undone shirt, pulled up her pants, wiped her tears, and silently fastened the buttons one by one.
But I found that some buttons had been yanked off by him and I had no idea where they went.
“Go buy another one later.” Maxwell looked at Stephanie and spoke.
Her lips were a bit swollen, still marked where he had kissed her.
The desire that had just been pushed down a little rose up again.
He clenched his fists and tried hard to hold back.
She didn’t look at him, just turned over to get out of bed.
He got what she meant, she still wanted to leave.
“Do you really have to go?” Maxwell asked patiently.
Stephanie’s response was to stand up.
But it was kind of wobbly.
Chapter17)
Maxwell angrily pulled her to sit down.
“Grandma told us to stay at the manor overnight!” he warned.
“I don’t want to,” Stephanie said coldly. “If you want to use force, Maxwell, I’ll look down on you!”
The feeling of anger came over him, and he glanced at a part of himself.
Seeing she was about to turn around and get up again, he was just about to say something angrily when suddenly, his phone started vibrating.
It was Roxanne’s call.
Maxwell frowned a little and hesitated for a moment, but in the end he still picked up.
“Max.” There was a bit of suppressed emotion in Roxanne’s voice. She spoke carefully, “I heard… you went back to Moon Manor with Stephanie tonight, is that true?”
“Yeah,” he replied.
Quite a few people knew he and Stephanie were back, so it was normal that Roxanne knew too.
“Are you with her now?” There was a bit of a choke in Roxanne’s voice.
“Are you guys… gonna spend the night together?”
Maxwell didn’t know how to answer for a moment.
We were supposed to spend the night together.

But Stephanie didn’t want to.
It was just that Roxanne didn’t need to know about these.
And as he stayed silent, Roxanne over there started crying.
Maxwell was still silent. He didn’t know how to start, and he didn’t know what to say.
Roxanne cried for a while, then suddenly, she started coughing.
“Cough, cough…”
A violent cough came from the other end of the phone, along with some broken sounds of vomiting.
“Max, I was so sad, and my body hurt a lot too…”
As she was talking, Maxwell’s phone buzzed. He glanced at it–it was a picture Roxanne had sent.
In the picture. Roxanne was crying, her face covered in tears. It looked like someone had just wiped her lips, but not very well–there was still some blood at the corner of her mouth.
Roxanne coughed up blood.
On the phone, Roxanne cried and said, “Max, can you come see me?”
“I was really sad.”
Frowning, Maxwell closed his eyes.
“Okay.”
At the end he said.
Stephanie was just standing here, and Maxwell didn’t avoid her when

he made the call.
So, she knew Roxanne was looking for him.
“Not going to find her?” Stephanie said. “I know you wanted to.”
Lips pressed tight, Maxwell stared coldly at Stephanic.
He wanted to say he went there just for Roxanne’s illness.
But seeing her disgusted eyes, he swallowed all his words.
Got up, changed clothes, Maxwell took the car keys, and went straight out of the room.
