Winston only found out Bianca had left when he sent his secretary to the villa to retrieve some documents.R
The secretary rang the doorbell repeatedly, but no one answered. Left with no choice, he called Winston.!
The moment he picked up the call, Winston froze. His mind went completely blank, and the hand gripping his phone trembled uncontrollably.
“Wait there. I’m going home right now.”
When he stood up to leave, Kiara frowned, visibly annoyed.”
“Winston, I’m still in the middle of my check–up. My hand still hurts! You’re really going to leave me here alone at the hospital?”
“I left something important at home. I’ll come right back after I check on things and pick it up. I’ll come get you from the hospital afterward.” He sighed.&
“No! You have to stay with me. My sister is a grown woman, it’s not like she’s going to go missing. She’s probably just sulking and turned off her phone to make you worry, If you go running home to find her, she wins!”
Winston was clearly conflicted, but he still gently patted her hand and tried to soothe her.
“I’ll be quick. Just wait for me.”
Without giving her room to argue, he turned and left for the villa.
On the way, he called Bianca over and over again. But she already put her phone on silent, and didn’t bother to answer.
When he arrived and saw the secretary lingering outside the villa, he was visibly imitated.
Call a locksmith, I want to see what kind of game Blanca is playing now”
But to his surprise, after storming through every room in the house, she was nowhere to be found.
He stood frozen, staring at the divorce agreement and wedding ring she had left on the table.
He was speechless, frozen.
With trembling hands, he tried to call her again–but she hung up immediately.
Frustrated and growing increasingly anxious, he barked at the secretary.
“Use your phone to call her. Just keep calling until you get through her.”
As he clutched the ring tightly, his hands shook
He sat on the edge of the bed, then suddenly got up and rushed to the wardrobe
It was empty.!
Every single piece of her clothing
was gone
His mind went blank, and panic flooded his chest.
“She’s gone…” he muttered to himself, stunned.
“Mr. Flemming, I’m sorry, I still can’t get through to President Reynolds.”
The secretary’s voice was cautious.
Winston told him to return to the office with the documents while he remained in the room, staring at nothing, lost in silence.!!
Three hours later, Kiara stormed into the villa, her face flushed with grievance and anger
She spotted Winston sitting on the bed and immediately exploded.
“Winston! You promised to come back to the hospital! I waited for three hours! I called and called but you didn’t answer! Do you not love me anymore? Do you know how hurt I was? How hurt our baby is?”
Her barrage of complaints only made him more irritated.
He kept his head down and stayed silent, which only made her angrier.
“She left, didn’t she? Rain away from home again? Honestly, she’s so dramatic. Just like when we were kids–always throwing tantrums.” “Enough!” Winston suddenly snapped. “Whatever’s between me and Bianca is none of your business. Don’t comment on things you don’t understand.”
Kiara stared at him in shock, utterly speechless
Without much small talk, he drove me straight to a quiet, well–kept neighborhood.
This place fits everything you asked for–green surroundings, peace and quiet, easy access to transportation. What do you think? Do you like it? We’re neighbors now.“D
Denver scratched his head, slightly embarrassed.
He had remained single all these years, and during my rough times with Winston, he had always quietly offered help–from setting up a company in San Francisco to helping me recruit staff behind the scenes. No one would do that without feelings involved.
The next day, I visited the company.
More than half of my former employees had already resigned and relocated to San Francisco to follow me.}
I couldn’t help but wonder how Winston reacted when he discovered that the company was hollowed out overnight.
What would my father, Kiara, and those parasitic relatives think now?!
Sure enough, early that moming, my father called.
“Bianca! Where the hell are you? Think you’re some big shot now? Going missing like a child? Do you even realize the company is in chaos?, Half the staff quit, the financials are a mess–get back here and fix this immediately!”
His tone was sharp and scolding–just as it had always been.
Even the day my mother jumped to her death, he blamed me.
Said I was cursed. Said being born in the year of the goat brought ruin. That i’d doomed my parents just by existing.”
My chest ached, heart heavy with grief. No one had ever hurt me more than him.
And now, even though he knew full well about Winston and my sister, he pretended not to.
Now that the company was in trouble–and his interests were threatened–he suddenly remembered to act like a father.
“Dad,” I said quietly. “Calling you that is already the biggest concession I can make. Did it ever occur to you to ask why I left? I’m your daughter. Have you ever once cared if I was hurt?”
His voice turned colder, filled with anger and confusion.
“It’s normal for men to cheat. If he apologizes and is willing to come back to the family, just let it go. No need to blow things out of proportion. Besides, that woman isn’t a stranger–she’s your younger sister. Why are you so obsessed with this?”
I let out a cold laugh. At that moment, my heart turned completely cold, and my mind had never been clearer.
“So that’s what you thought back then too–when you had an affair and drove my mother to jump off a building. No wonder you can relate to Winston. You’re both disgusting.”
