As Fogort spoke, he retracted the talisman. "I'll stick to my principles and won't kill innocents. What path your fate takes is something we shall witness together."
With that, Fogort stood up and took out a lighter as well as a pack of cigarettes from his pocket. Perhaps lighting one would help suppress the melancholy within him.
Just as he was about to ignite it, he remembered Tamsine was still there and quickly put it away. "My apologies. Just consider it my foolishness." He then intended to step outside for a smoke.
At that moment, Tamsine pulled him back again. Fogort turned to look at her. Tamsine shyly asked, "Do you regret your choice?"
Fogort dismissed her concern. "If I regretted it, I wouldn't have made the choice. Since I've decided not to act against you, there's nothing to regret. I'll witness your fate until the end."
He then pushed her hand away and walked toward the front yard.
Tamsine sat on the couch, her expression complex. She felt an indescribable emotion rising within her. "Really? You truly don't regret it?"
Fogort stepped outside to get some fresh air and lit a cigarette. As the warriors waiting outside saw Fogort emerge, they hurried toward the hall.
Fogort pondered to himself. Since he had not dealt with Tamsine, the battle for the inheritance and plundering of the ritualistic weapons would soon begin. What kind of fierce conflict would unfold among the inheritors?
Thinking about this, Fogort took a deep breath and exhaled a cloud of smoke. "The divination indicated this. I really am a terrible person. I'm standing by and watching what I could've preventedβ¦"

Hence, Fogort settled into the estate. Tamsine also showed him her creationβa cultivation chamber capable of dispersing and concentrating power.
By first infusing power into the storage of the chamber, one could split the energy into several portions like copying and pasting or gather all the divided power back together.
"Inheritance order? I really don't."
Tamsine candidly replied, "First is the Heaven-Destroyer Magma, then the Skyshard Armor, the Light Reflector Mirror, the All Souls Token, the Heaven-Shaking Tome, and finally, the Chaos Talisman."
"Why?"
Tamsine thought for a moment. "I don't know. This is what the core of fire told me. It said certain powers counteract each other, and if a counteraction occurs, that person will die instantly, causing the ritualistic weapons to shatter.
"So, each one seems to restrain the other, and only this order prevents counteractions."
The concept of mutual restraint was indeed new information. Fogort continued to inquire, "But what does that matter? Even if I'm last, I still won't be able to extract any power."
