Goldspin Plaza was a cleverly designed building with its towering height and complex and lengthy corridors. The tower was roughly divided into three distinct areas.
To the east, where Whistler and Amy were located, the area was primarily office spaces. The number of personnel here even exceeded that of the central area.
To the west, where Linden and Aurora were, the space was more of a storage area collecting samples and goods. The result was a relatively lower number of people out and about. Linden and Aurora entered one of the warehouses.
Although they were given a map earlier, they had lost it in their last battle. With no other choice, they had to rely on their memories to navigate through the maze of hallways.
The hallways here were quite strange. They might only lead to rooms instead of bringing them up. At this point, the two of them were completely lost. They wandered back and forth in the vast warehouse, hoping to find an exit.
The two walked around the warehouse for five to six minutes but failed to find an exit. Just then, a device that looked like a showerhead appeared from the ceiling.
"That thing—" Linden pulled Aurora behind him before she could finish her sentence.
At the same time, the huge showerhead began releasing poison into the warehouse. Linden hurriedly opened a barrier for protection.
“Heavenly Thunder!” Linden called, and the showerhead shattered. Linden then quickly used his true energy to seal the massive gap it left behind before hurriedly pulling Aurora toward the entrance of the warehouse.
Just then, the warehouse door started to close on its own, inch by inch. Fortunately, the two dropped to the ground and managed to slide out just in time.
“What’s our next move? This is the only entrance!” Aurora asked.
Linden pondered for a moment before deciding, “This is indeed the only way up. Do you remember if there's a door that leads to the basement level before we came here?"
“Yeah, there is, but what does that have to do with anything? We’re not... Wait.”
The two moved carefully past these obstacles and proceeded forward. Sure enough, at the end of the path, they found a door blocked by cargo.
They opened the door, and this time, they found themselves on a very high floor.
“What?” Linden gazed out at the sky.
“From what we’ve seen so far, it seems that this barrier has merely altered the building’s structure. The floors and what we see are still real.”
“What should we do now?” Aurora asked.
“We should be close to the top floor,” Linden replied.
