My Substitute CEO Bride (Nash Calicraft) novel Chapter 2405

"Two years. I'll continue to help you gather gods in these two years, but..." Dusky pointed at Nash and Clint.

"These two will also participate in the fight as part of the human party in the Divine Awakening. In other words, they'll lead the humans. Let's see which side ultimately contributes more. How about that?"

The heavenly emperor thought Dusky had gone mad. "Absurd! No matter how weak gods are, they're still stronger than humans!"

"Your Majesty, were you born a god?"

Dusky's words clearly struck a nerve, but surprisingly, after a burst of laughter, the heavenly emperor accepted the challenge.

"Haha, fine! Let me see just how far you all can go!" Then, all three talismans gathered in Dusky's hand.

Nash and Clint shot worried glances at Dusky. Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, the two found themselves back in the Melton family's residence. They looked around and realized they were inside a room.

Out of nowhere, a hand reached out to help Clint up. Upon turning, they saw that it was none other than Ronan, who was now awake.

"Ronan!"

"Hey, Clint, you're back?"

Clint hugged Ronan tightly.

"We shouldn’t interfere too much with his fate. From that moment, I started resisting the talisman. Something like that felt more like a tool that limits possibilities. The future is exciting precisely because it's unknown.

"So, I gave the choice back to Ronan. His future should come from his own decisions."

Clint smiled as he said this. Nash smiled as well. "You're something else. If that heavenly emperor had erased the two of us right then and there, we would've become the biggest joke."

"No, the heavenly emperor would never have done that. Although he's the heavenly emperor now, as Zaafea once told me, he ascended through cultivation a thousand years ago and eventually made it to the position of ruler.

"So, I was certain he still believed in humanity's potential. But in the end, we have to thank Zaafea. If it weren't for him coming up with a balanced solution, the heavenly emperor might not have let us off so easily."
