No matter what, there were some things he needed to face alone. Following the address Jules had given him, Astin soon arrived at a secluded fortress.

As Astin approached the entrance, his phone buzzed with a message.

[You have entered a restricted area. If you are here by mistake, please leave immediately!]

Astin closed the message and pulled out his inspection pass, holding it up high. After a moment, a guard in specialized black armor approached. Upon verifying the pass' validity, the guard handed him a heavy, bulletproof vest-like garment.

Astin could feel its weight as soon as he picked up the garment. "It's so heavy..."

Despite the weight, the guard insisted he put it on, and Astin complied. Once suited up, he noticed a change in his body. The strong sunlight no longer bothered him as much.

It seemed his true energy and the demon inside were temporarily suppressed.

Astin entered the fortress while following the guard. This was a place for detaining supernatural offenders—criminals with powers beyond the norm. He slowly followed the guard's lead to a large glass window.

The guard then took out a radio and locked the door behind them.

"Visitor in position, all secure."

"Roger that."

Through the large glass window, a small door slowly opened on the other side. Astorus, who was restrained by the guards, walked in.

The moment Astin saw his father, he could not keep his composure. Astorus looked far more haggard than before. Though his build seemed fuller than before, his head of white hair and vacant eyes clearly showed he was not doing well.

Without hesitation, Astorus replied, "She did. She came to discuss your future."

"My future?"

Astorus lowered his voice, speaking softly.

"Yes, your future. You should live as an ordinary person."
