Zoe threw several water-like projectiles from her hands. Although most were shattered by Francel’s staff, one managed to slip through, splashing on Francel’s clothes. Within a second, he was thrown back by the impact.
Francel immediately saw through the woman’s ability. “She condenses her true energy into water-sized droplets and then uses them to her advantage... Impressive.”
Vizimir had no plans of giving Francel any respite and continued the close-quarters battle. Francel struggled to defend with his staff but also had to constantly keep an eye on Zoe’s attacks. If he was affected by her abilities, escaping would be extremely difficult.
However, Francel was curious about one thing, and that was his staff was not being manipulated. Could it be that she could only control complete droplets?
Just then, Marcus joined the fray. He created an ice wall to separate the combatants and then isolate Zoe from the others.
“Now, the little girl’s magical water droplets won’t be able to interfere with us!”
Marcus then directed his icy attacks at Vizimir.
Faced with the two-pronged assault, Vizimir felt himself growing weary. He tried to retreat while tearing through the ice wall to break it apart. However, the attacks from both sides were relentless, and he was quickly nearing his breaking point.
Suddenly, there was a loud crash, and the ice wall collapsed.
Before anyone could react, another projectile shot toward them, piercing through Marcus.
Seeing the ice wall shattered, Vizimir quickly regrouped with Zoe.
“Zoe, what’s going on?”
Equally confused, Zoe replied, “I don’t know. There was no information about this kind of participant during the investigation.”
Vizimir's facial features twisted with unease as he glanced at Marcus lying in a pool of blood. “This person must be a new participant with specialized ammunition and a launcher. We need to retreat!”
Francel opened his eyes, finding himself in a dense fog. At that moment, Chuck approached.
"Are you alright?"
"So, it's you," Francel said.
Chuck nodded. "The attacker left. I came to check on the injured one." He and Francel bent down to examine Marcus' condition.
To their surprise, Marcus had used ice to encase himself. By doing so, he stopped the bleeding and prevented the bullet from hitting a vital area. Chuck quickly began administering first aid.
Francel looked at Chuck with curiosity. "You actually carry medical supplies with you?"
Chuck nodded. "I don't really like this kind of fighting. I spent the whole night thinking about it. The rules only say to shatter the bracelet. There's no need for killing, is there?"
