I knew all this. I nodded my head and said, "Thank you!"
He laughed and fell silent.
The pus coming from the wound was definitely a sign of infection. Furthermore, his wound was a little deep. I was worried that he would hurt when I was cleaning his wound, so I tried being more gentle.
"Does the Milton family have business all over the world?" I asked.
He nodded.
I continued, "I've known you for a long time. I still don't know what kind of business you do."
He paused and said, "Petroleum. We're also starting to venture into science and technology."
"Petroleum?" I was reminded of Master Milton, whom I met at Freya's wedding.
I couldn't help but look at him as I asked, "Are you from the Milton family?"
He raised his eyebrows but didn't say anything. I suddenly remembered the auction in Ucrebury and couldn't help asking, "Have you held an auction in Ucrebury before?"
If so, then his sudden appearance at the cemetery, and his coincidentally saving me would start to make more sense.
I turned serious at the thought. Seeing this, he said, "If you go on like this, I will be poked to death."
Startled, I looked down and realized that I had accidentally poked a cotton swab into his wound, causing it to bleed a little.
I immediately retracted my hand and frantically apologized, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it!"
Sebastian was also done with his business here. The night before we returned home, Naomi and the others moved into the villa.
After a near-death experience, Naomi, who used to be really chatty, seemed to be much quieter than before.
Tina and Rainie were still unwilling to talk, and Dahlia still went on praying.
Rainie probably felt awkward with the silence, so she spoke out, "Well be going home tomorrow. Let's have a toast!"
She raised her glass and looked at us with a smile on her face.
After the moment's surprise, Naomi followed her to raise her glass. She looked at me and said, "We really have to thank Arianna this time. She saved everyone. If she hadn't asked Mr. Milton for help, we would've died by now!"
"That's right!" Dahlia stopped praying and looked at me. With a smile, she added, "Fortunately, we had Arianna. Let's toast to her!"
