My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 782

Hearing that we were able to go out and have some fun ourselves made me feel slightly happier. I nodded and replied, "Okay!"

Being the busy man that he was, and with the holidays approaching, Hendrix had to leave for the office to get his work done.

I had planned to read at home, but Freya called me and said that she was back from her honeymoon. She also mentioned that she was preparing a gathering for the three of us.

As soon as I heard that, I asked curiously, "The three of us?"

She clicked her tongue. "You, me and Yana. Who else?"

I was stunned. Well, that was true; that was all the people I acquainted myself with.

I simply nodded and agreed.

We decided to meet at a golf club in the suburbs. Though we weren't interested in playing golf, we did enjoy the scenery and the food the golf club had to offer.

Freya had bought a leisure villa near the golf course, and there were many high-end pastries nearby. She had always wanted to try them but never had the time to, so she invited us to come along with her on a pastry adventure.

I intended to drive there myself, but Hendrix had a bodyguard and driver send me there.

I didn't even bother objecting to this. Having someone drive me there saved me trouble of doing it myself, after all.

When I reached the entrance of the shop, I took out my phone to call Freya, but I heard someone calling my name instead. It was Freya.

She had gotten chubbier in the few days we hadn't seen each other. Perhaps she was pregnant, hence the plumpness.

She was always so carefree whenever we met. When she came to me, she immediately pulled me in and said excitedly, "How rare of you to come early! Yana is still on her way. Let's go up first and wait for her."

I nodded and walked into the shop with Freya.

Freya handed the menu to the waitress and told her, "Please start serving the food in a few more minutes. We're still waiting for our friend."

The waitress nodded. "Okay!"

I looked at the pastries in front of me and felt a little confused. Then, I looked at Freya and said, "This drink looks like jelly, but it doesn't seem like jelly either."

She nodded with a smile. "It's a kind of tropical fruit that was frozen, filtered and made into this.

It's really good. Have a taste."

I took a sip and could not help but nod, "How exquisite! And it's sweet too. I can't sense any trace of ice in it at all."

She scooped a spoonful of the ice water and put it on the pastries brought over by the waiter. Then, light white smoke came oozing out of the pastries. It smelled fragrant which made the pastries look especially appetizing.
