My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 734

"Arianna, are you listening?" Freya, who was on the other end of the line, asked.

"Yes!" I answered after a pause, "Now that the wedding's over, where are you going for your honeymoon?"

She thought for a moment and said, "Zachary and I talked and we're going to the Maldives. The weather's nice there."

"Alright then, take care of yourselves. I've got to go. Anne is waking up, so I'll need to check on her," I responded after I heard some sounds from the bedroom.

She responded with an "okay".

Then, she ended the call.

Anne woke up and was still a little tired. The little fellow curled herself up in the blanket. When she saw me, she called out to me softly, "Mommy, I am thirsty!"

I poured her some water and rested my hand on her forehead. I was relieved to find that her fever had finally resided.

"Mommy!" Anne called out to me again when she saw how distracted I was as she handed me the

empty cup.

I came back to my senses and took the cup in her hand.

I tucked her in and asked, "Do you still want to sleep?"

The little girl shook her head. "I'm not sleepy anymore. Did Mr. Saunders say that I can get out of bed?"

I smiled and said, "Yes, he did!"

Hearing this, she turned and got out of bed. Although her fever was gone, she still looked tired.

The heavy snowfall had stopped, and I looked at the vast expanse of white snow outside.

"I'm not sure. Perhaps you could ask Irvin what he said to Hendrix at Freya's wedding?" In my opinion, women shouldn't meddle in men's business.

She sighed and continued, "Arianna, the Roberts Group has the decade- old Advancer Tech supporting them, so you don't have to worry about losing. But things are different for the Granger Group. For the past few years, the market hasn't been doing as well. Plus, the Granger Group had only acquired Fantasia Company four years ago. Even though it is profitable, it still can't be compared to Advancer Tech. Hendrix loves you and listens to you. Can you please tell him to stop?"

I was upset at her words but I held back my anger and said in the calmest way possible, "Did Irvin ask you to tell me all this?"

"Are you angry?" She asked. She was obviously emotional.

"Yep!"

"Arianna, Irvin is my fiance, and the father of my child. I must protect him and help him. You can blame me all you want, but I still need your help on this," she reasoned in justification of herself.

"Hendrix is also my husband. Did you even think of this before you decided to ask me to help you?" I sighed, "Shirley, you have someone you need to protect; so do I. We're all humans here, and we all want the same thing."
