My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 611

Dinner was during the weekend. I told Anne about leaving in advance, so she was prepared. But she could not help but feel uncomfortable.

She had always been carefree, jumping and pouncing around, but suddenly she became sensible. She handed her savings and favorite things to Bennett and whispered, "My mother said that we can't bring these things with us. Please keep them for me. I'll come back to you to get them next time."

Bennett had always been silent, but now he was even quieter. He looked up at me and said, "Madam Reid, when will you come back with Anne?"

I couldn't find an answer to his question. So, I thought for a moment and said, "We will come back sometime during the festive holidays."

When he heard that we would come back, a rare smile appeared on his face. "Then my father and I will wait for you at Hovell for Halloween."

I almost forgot that it would be Halloween soon. After a slight pause, I nodded and said, "Okay, then Anne and I will return during Halloween."

Upon hearing such an answer, the two children were in a much better mood.

Norman was silent for a while. He looked at me and said, "Are you going to Jarold City?"

I shook my head. "Perhaps not for the time being."

In the past, when Anne was younger, I had never taken her back to Ucrebury. Now that she's older, I want to take her to Ucrebury to see Monique. I had never talked to her about this for so many years because I didn't know how to say it.

After saying our goodbyes, we went home. Anne kept holding me, feeling melancholy. I knew that she was reluctant to part with this place.

After coaxing her to sleep, I called Hendrix on the phone.

When he picked up the phone, his voice was deep and attractive. "I was about to call you, then you did. Is this telepathy?"

I smiled and looked up at the bright moon hanging high outside the window. I said, "I quit my job at the hotel."

He didn't seem to be surprised. "Well, it's a waste for you to stay with the hotel with your knowledge and vision."

I gave a faint smile and took her to Bronzy Condo. When I left back then, I bought a house and left one of Monique's houses for Anne.

The key was still with me and the apartment was filled with photos of Anne and I. Anne was very excited as she looked around the house. She saw the photo on the bedside table in the bedroom and ran over to ask me, "Mom, who is this aunt who took this picture with you?"

She looked so cute like this. She was innocent and full of doubts, which made my heart ache. I took the picture frame from her hand and looked at us in the picture, who were in high spirits and smiling happily.

We took this photo when we graduated from college. Monique had already worked in the bar that year.

After saving money, she dragged me to the photo studio to take a picture of us. She said that she had to make some memories. Otherwise, she would forget what she looked like when she was younger.

That's right!

I had to have something to remember. Otherwise, I would forget my past self.
