My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 531

It was pointless to stop Valerie from talking to me. She would either tell me ways to eat healthily or ways to take care of Anne.

Valerie disregarded my indifference. She even ignored my cold treatment towards her.

I stopped talking half an hour later. She made breakfast and told me to eat while it was still hot.

Then, she instructed midwives, "Please clean up the house."

After talking to the midwives, she turned to me and said, "Eat food with higher protein as you are breastfeeding now."

Hendrix saw a few people in the villa when he woke up. He frowned slightly and asked, "What's going on?"

Valerie answered him, "I brought the midwives here to take care of Anne so that both of you can rest at night. You should have enough sleep to do your work.

Hendrix looked at the two midwives who were busy cleaning the villa. He did not say much.

He said to Valerie," Much appreciated, Valerie." "Don't mention it. It's what I should do!" Valerie was exceptionally happy when Hendrix accepted her proposal.

Then she asked Hendrix to taste the breakfast she made. I was a little confused. Hendrix did not seem to be annoyed or irritated with Valerie.

Valerie was in the villa the whole morning. She would instruct the midwives to clean the house and played with Anne in the baby room.

Hendrix was busy with his work. I went to his study room and sat down even if I had nothing to do.

"What's the matter?" Hendrix turned his head around asking as he saw me sitting in the study room.

I put down the book and look at him. Then I asked, "Do you think there's something wrong with Valerie lately?"

Hendrix asked while reading through the documents on his computer, "What's wrong with her?"

"Tomorrow!" he answered. He lowered his head and kissed me on the lips.

Valerie happened to enter the study room with Anne. She snorted and grinned, "It seems that it's not the right time for us to come here. You two carry on. I'll take little Anne downstairs for a walk."

Hendrix looked up and asked her calmly, "Is Anne hungry?"

Valerie nodded and answered with a smile, "She has been whining, refusing to drink the formula. I brought her up because I think she wanted breast milk."

Hendrix took Anne from Valerie and handed her to me, "Go feed Anne."

He then left the study room with Valerie.

I always felt that Hendrix was hiding something from me, but I couldn't figure out what it was at the moment.
