My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 2054

Hendrix squinted his eyes and stood there looking at her coldly. He then took a deep breath. He had an imposing aura around him.

He didn't speak, but then again, he didn't need to. Everything was confirmed in silence.

Jennifer looked at him for a moment and faintly knew what the answer was. She then began laughing madly. "Karma, karma! Who would have known?!"

From her reaction, it seemed that she had been waiting for this day for a very long time.

Nathan prided himself from being a part of a distinguished family. After discovering Hendrix's defects, he abandoned him without even blinking. But now, he had been betrayed by his own children, who had superior genes. Was this the result of his 'perfect' education that followed the rule of survival of the fittest?

All of them had abandoned him at this crucial time.

Hendrix carefully observed her. After a while, he turned towards Evan and said, "Let's go to the Marshall family villa out in the west."

Hearing this, Jennifer, who was still looking quite smug, suddenly became agitated. "What do you plan to do? How do you know about that place?"

She roared hysterically. Even though she was in such a sorry state, her entire being seemed quite sinister.

Hendrix, however, remained indifferent. He calmly turned to look at Evan and motioned for him to take her away.

What he said was true. But so far, Jordan hadn't shown any malice towards us, and he didn't harm us either. This delicate balance felt like having a thorn stuck in my throat, once that I couldn't swallow. It left me feeling very uneasy.

What's worse was that, so long as Jordan didn't take action, there would be no reason for us to destroy this fragile balance.

Pedro however, appeared relaxed. He had a faint smile on his face and seemed very confident. "Jarold City is still our territory after all. Even though Jordan is very capable, making him disappear will be as easy as crushing an ant."

"Your dad is right. We'd have to walk on thin ice under someone else's control. We might as well take this opportunity to get rid of them altogether," Valerie added.

I shook my head and disagreed with them. "I suspect that Jordan had personally planned the explosion on the island. He's not an easy person to deal with."
