Wynn shook his head. "I don't want to play with it anymore. I'm done with my coding. I want to spend time with my sister."
After that, he came over and held Aurelia's hand. "Would you like to play with me?"
Aurelia jumped up and down happily. "Of course!"
The siblings looked at each other and laughed. They held each other's hands and ran over to Wynn's bedroom. After a while, we heard them giggling loudly.
Behind me, Hendrix whispered. "What's the matter?"
"Just a small matter." I looked up at him and walked in calmly. I then sat down on a chair that was against the wall. "While you're resting at home, let's have a chat."
Hendrix didn't reply. He turned towards Evan and motioned for him to leave.
"Evan isn't an outsider. There's nothing to hide from her."
Hearing this, Hendrix didn't say anything, turned around and sat down. "We can start now." "Okay." Seeing that he was calm, I didn't know where to began. I lowered my head and thought for a moment. Then I put on a serious face and slowly said, "You should have gotten used to your identity by now, right?"
"What identity?" Hendrix asked.
"My husband, the father of my two children, and the son-in-law of the Reid family." I deliberately emphasized that last one.
Hendrix reacted at being referred to as the "son-in-law". After hearing that, he was stuck in a daze for a moment and said calmly, "Yes, so what?"
If he hadn't retorted, then I could have continued to fool him.
Hendrix didn't give him the chance to react. He commanded with his deadly voice. "Speak."
Evan buried his head on his chest, unsure on how to respond.
Evan, who was as calm and cautious as Hendrix was, had begun to panic. This was brilliant.
I secretly lifted the corners of my mouth and then kindly reminded him, "Evan, no need to be nervous. Your employer is simply asking whether the things I said are true or not. You only need to tell him if he would be willing to go to the depths of hell for me. Would that be enough?"
Hearing this, Evan immediately breathed out a sigh of relief and said loudly, "Yes, Sir. Madam has always been the most important person in your heart!"
He really was a special assistant. He was also an expert at fooling his boss.
