My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 1840

"Miss Reid is truly a profligate woman, entangling with your ex and flirting with your current man at the same time." Serene saw Santiago sitting inside at a glance, so she started mocking me.

Hendrix looked down at me. He shot his cold gaze calmly towards the inside of the private room before giving me a knowing look.

Why was he looking at me like this?

I did nothing wrong.

I clenched my fists and was about to explain when a figure suddenly appeared behind me. He walked straight to Hendrix's side and pulled him inside. "Mr. Roberts, I've visited your company several times, but I finally got to meet you today. Let's catch up over some drinks! You can't possibly refuse me this time."

"Miss Forbes is here too. Come this way, please. How lucky I am today! Everyone I want to meet is here!"

Was he enjoying the fun? Didn't he know the complicated relationship between us?

I watched helplessly as Hendrix and Serene sat down next to each other, my heart wanting to break out in tears.

What kind of a meal is this?

Hendrix sat there with a poker face, his momentum that of a winner. It looked as if he was competing with Santiago, and he was serious.

I stood there helpless for a moment. With a sigh, I had no choice but to return to my seat.

Freya buried her face and chuckled. "It's going to be very lively now."

"Well, duh." I rolled my eyes and hit her arm with my elbow, telling her not to make sarcastic remarks.

"Arianna." A familiar and strange voice sounded. I turned around and found that it was someone who came in with Hendrix and Serene.

I cleared my throat and did not dare continue.

"Mr. Shelley, today is Miss Reid's big day. Let's talk about the past some other day," Serene smiled coldly as she fanned the flames. "Someone like Miss Reid, who always lived in the shadow of the past, is finally able to start over again. It's a once in a blue moon occurrence."

She paused and looked at Santiago with her icy and arrogant gaze. "Mr. Jenkins, you really can't make a better decision than choosing Miss Reid. Her virtuousness is well-known throughout all of

Jarold City."

Serene was indeed a talent to be sitting in the position of the president of the group. Her words were watertight. On the surface, it looked like she was speaking for me, but in fact, she was doing anything but.

Her words would inevitably lead those who were unfamiliar with me to look into my past. Moreover, the fact that I had an entanglement with Hendrix was not a secret in Jarold City. It would be known as soon as someone checked.

This woman had borne grudges for me for forcefully kissing Hendrix.
