"Well done." I patted him on the shoulder to encourage him.
As soon as he finished speaking, the boy who was sitting across from him suddenly shouted out, "Something's wrong. Someone is trying to break through our firewall. It's strong. It's not easy to handle. My side is going to crash soon!"
In the blink of an eye, a few of them cracked their knuckles and had a determined look on their faces. They operated on their computers nervously. Even Aaron and I, who were only watching from the side, turned solemn.
In the next fifteen minutes, I witnessed how intense things got, and how quickly their spirits broke.
At first, the technicians were in high spirits and had been going strong, until their firewall was breached... In the end, the boy beside me looked at his black computer screen that couldn't be restarted.
"That's impossible. How could such a small company have such powerful technology..."
The boys had suffered quite a serious blow. They scratched their ears and cheeks in frustration. It seemed that these newbies were no match for the people who'd fought back against us.
The Saunders family had spent a lot of money on their factory. Later on, their business was badly affected, so they didn't have the extra money to hire a skilled IT department. Among the Saunders family's acquaintances and connections, there weren't many people who could solve those problems in such a timely manner and retaliate for that matter.
"It's not your fault." I thought about this for a moment before I picked up my phone and walked towards the rear garden. I pressed the dial button.
He picked up the phone right away.
"What is it?" Hendrix's voice always sounded calm and full of confidence, like he had control over everything.
"Josiah disguised himself as Mr. Clark. Did you lend him a hand in that?"
I couldn't bear to hear the truth, and I wasn't surprised to find that Hendrix was silent.
Silence was the best answer.
"Hendrix, you've gone too far!" I couldn't help but lose my temper. When I thought back on those days when I had trouble sleeping and eating, I had the urge to burst into tears, "You're not the one who's suffering here. Why do you think you can forgive Josiah on Anne's behalf? Josiah is incredibly good at disguises. If anything happens to Anne, do you think we'd be so lucky as to find another organ donor for her treatment?" "I won't let such a thing happen again." Hendrix promised firmly, "I've met Josiah. He's been like a brother to me for decades. I know he didn't lie. He's really reflected on his mistakes."
"So? Wasn't Josiah already a brother before everything that's happened to Anne? Hendrix, I never knew you were such a forgiving person. How could you forgive him for committing such a horrible crime?"
