My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 1792

It was nearly ten o'clock when I got home. Aaron was still in the living room sitting opposite a man in a suit and leather shoes, they seemed to be talking about some official business.

After a busy day, I was a little tired. I didn't want to get involved, but Aaron stopped me as I was about to head upstairs.

"Arianna, come over here."

"What is it?" I asked as I walked towards them.

Aaron didn't answer, but the man in the suit stood up respectfully. "Miss Reid, you'll need to agree to a school transfer for Anne. There're some procedures to go through. I have to make an appointment with you to facilitate the signing of some documents."

"School transfer?" I was confused. After a while, I looked at Aaron. "What's going on? Why are getting her transferred to a different school for no reason?"

Aaron was expressionless as he answered perfunctorily, "I will explain later. Now, let's discuss it with Laven. The transfer procedure is a little troublesome." "Miss Reid, I know that you're very busy, but please tell your secretary to send me your schedule later. I'll arrange the rest, and then I'll inform your secretary. This is my business card. My contact information is on it." Laven smiled and handed over the card in his hand.

"I see." I took the card and glanced at it. The man in front of me was the Vice President of some famous international school. Seeing that he was so eager, Aaron must have cut a good deal with him.

"Alright. You can head off then."

As the matter was settled, Aaron sent him away.

As soon as he left, I was about to ask about it when Anne suddenly ran down from upstairs. Holding my leg, she began to cry. "Mom, I don't want to transfer away! I don't want to!"

"Okay, okay, don't cry."

"Tell me, what's going on? Why did you suddenly transfer Anne?"

Aaron had gone to Anne's school that afternoon to inquire about Mr. Clark. Was this about him?

Aaron gritted his teeth and seemed to be in a dilemma. A moment later, he said with a hoarse voice, "That man is coming back."

Those few words felt like a lightning strike. A feeling of resentment made me clench my fist subconsciously.

I was well aware of what Aaron was talking about. Who else could it be but that devil of a person, the one who almost murdered Anne, and kept me apart from Hendrix, who else was it besides Josiah?

Aaron looked as tense as me. "He behaved well in prison and got his sentence reduced. With help from the Saunders family, he was released on parole a few months ago. Chances are, the information Freya found was set up by Josiah himself. That international school has never had such a teacher. He's using a fake identity to get closer to Anne and to win her trust. What a scumbag!"
