He smirked faintly and stared at me. "Do you still wish to have another child?"
I was taken aback by his question. I was frozen in place and stared at him blankly. "Can we still have one?"
He curled his lips. "Ariana, nothing is impossible. We've both gone through so much, and now that we're together, I'm willing to do anything to make you happy. If there's anything you want, just tell me. Alright?"
I nodded and was touched by what he said.
I couldn't help but recall Nerissa's words. I looked at him and said, "Hendrix, Aunt Nerissa said that we can do in vitro fertilization. You..."
He nodded and was not the slightest bit surprised by my words. He replied, "I'll go and contact the best doctors in the country. Just leave this to me!"
I thought he would refuse such an idea, but who would have expected that he'd actually agreed. I was a little shocked by this.
My cell phone rang, and it was Naomi calling. I picked up the phone. Her voice sounded low, as if she was not in a good mood. She said, "Arianna, I'll be heading back to Asherton. Initially, I thought of leaving without saying goodbye, but I just can't force myself to do that. I'm truly sorry for the miscarriage. I thought that everything would be fine, and you wouldn't blame me, but I came to the realization that I was a fool. I can't forgive myself, and I think that the best I can do now is apologize to you. I know that my apology doesn't mean much, but I will feel guilty for the rest of my life if I don't. As for Sebastian, I beg you to show him mercy!"
I was at a loss for words for a moment. I couldn't help feeling a little uncomfortable. Finally, after a moment of silence, I asked, "Where are you now?"
"The airport!"
I nodded and smiled. "We happened to be nearby, so we just came. Do you have any plans for the future?"
This was the first time she had fallen in love, but she ended up getting her heart broken. She might need a lot of time to recover from this.
She shrugged her shoulders and said, "I'm thinking of going to Blossom City. Master Attwood had given me a sum of money, so I wish to open an inn there and bring him along with me. I could spend time with him and let him start his own garden in the yard."
I nodded, looking forward to her future. "Well, just thinking about it makes me excited. When we have time, Hendrix and I will go and visit you."
