"Of course not!" He said with a chuckle. "They are all upstairs. I have something that I want to discuss with you in private and that is why I asked you to come here by yourself."
As he spoke, his gaze fell on Tobias. "Mr. Hayes, if you don't mind, I would like to have a private chat with Miss Reid. Is that fine with you? I'll prepare some drinks and dessert for you. You can go upstairs and have a taste of Jarold City's delicacies."
Tobias glanced at me. It was obvious that he was asking me, "What should I do?"
Looking at Sebastian, I guessed that he wanted to ask me about the sandalwood box. I looked back at Tobias and said, "Mr. Hayes, please go upstairs and greet Naomi and my friends on my behalf."
Tobias was a little taken aback. He nodded and went upstairs.
In the big room, Sebastian fiddled with the walnuts in his hand and found a comfortable position to sit down. He crossed his legs and stared at me. He raised his eyebrows slightly and said, "Don't you want to sit down and talk?"
I pursed my lips, walked over to a chair a few
steps away, and sat down. I didn't say anything. I waited for him to speak first.
I panicked and was stupefied for a moment. Then, I pursed my lips and pretended to be calm. "What are you talking about? I have no idea what you are talking about. Even if I don't try to put you in jail, karma will get you."
He raised his eyebrows, got up, and walked towards me. He leaned down towards me, his face growing closer and closer. His dark eyes lingered on me, accompanied by a suffocating smirk.
Seeing his slender fingers approaching me, I couldn't help but hold my breath. After a moment, he took the microphone from my ear and mocked me. "You don't have to worry. I won't harm you. There's no point in you carrying this around anymore. I don't want it to get in the way of our conversation."
As he spoke, he threw the microphone out of the window. I pursed my lips. I was a little mad, but I still suppressed my anger and stared at him.
