My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 1466

"Mom, did the doctor say that I can't get pregnant anymore?" I knew the answer to this, but I still couldn't help myself from asking. I didn't ask the doctor myself back then, because I thought there might be a miracle!

She didn't respond. It was dead silent on the other end. I knew she didn't want to crush my hopes. She ended up saying, "My dear, don't overthink things. You did sustain an injury on your uterus, but the technology is so advanced these days, you can always have an IVF. Don't pressure yourself with this."

An IVF!

I said, "Mom, I'll hang up now. I have something else to do!"

After hanging up the phone, my thoughts were in a mess. I looked in the direction of the police station. Would Hendrix agree to that?

Thinking of this, I got out of the car. As Hendrix said, it was chilly outside. It wasn't a good weather to be out and about.

I walked into the police station and saw some police officers in the lobby. I glanced around but still didn't see Hendrix anywhere. I was about to ask someone where he was when I heard someone yelling from behind an iron door, "I don't want to be here! Hendrix, I didn't do anything wrong! Please don't leave me here! I didn't do this!"

Andrea?

A police officer was guarding the cell. Upon spotting me, he frowned and said, "Miss, you are forbidden to enter!"

I gave him a small smile. "My husband is inside. He just went in."

The room was silent for a while after he yelled. He then looked at Andrea and said in an annoyed and disgusted tone, "You chose your own path. No one forced you. I gave you everything I was obliged to give. Don't keep on pestering me on your brother's behalf. I am not obligated to look after you, and I won't be doing that anymore. So stop bothering me. I don't have that much time to spend on someone who has nothing to do with me!"

His words were harsh.

Andrea's eyes suddenly became brimmed with tears, and she spat desperately, "Am I just someone you're wasting your time on? Am I really someone who has nothing to do with you?"

Hendrix frowned and glanced at her with a disgusted look on his face as he replied, "You know what makes someone valuable? It's when they know their place. But you don't. I'm not here to pick you up, neither am I here to visit you. I'm only here to tell you to stop calling me no matter what happens in the future. And don't you dare contact anyone around me. I have nothing to do with you anymore. Miss Burton, please have some self respect!"
