My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 1388

I was about two months along now, but my baby bump was not noticeable yet at this point.

"You're at Asherton? It seems that you really care about your daughter. It's a pity then, that my mom’ s soup will go to waste."

I had almost forgotten the fact that Sebastian's mother had some misunderstanding about my pregnancy. She had wanted to prepare some nourishing soup for me.

I did not reply to Sebastian’s message. Wendy sent me a message, asking if I was still in Jarold City.

I informed her to advise Naomi to head back to Asherton if she had nothing to do in Jarold City. The longer she was in contact with Sebastian, the harder it would be for her to get over him. When it came to relationships, time could heal all wounds.

Astonished, Wendy replied, I'll head back to Asherton in the evening. How’s your daughter doing? Are you in Asherton because of Anne?"

I could not help but frown. I did not tell anyone that I would be coming to Asherton, let alone my purpose. I wondered how she came to know about this.

Because I thought I should not ask her directly, I sent a smiley emoticon instead and replied, "Okay then. Meet you when you're back in Asherton."

I did not know when Hendrix woke up. Just as I sent the phone message, I could feel someone staring at me. I turned around and saw him gazing at me motionlessly. I was a little stunned. "Did I wake you up?" I asked.

He smiled and shook his head. "Nah, chatting with someone?" he said. "Are you feeling unwell?"

I shook my head. "I'm fine," I said.

"Yes, I am," he said. "Is there anything I can do for you?"

I did not quite trust him. How did Sebastian come to know this person? "It was Sebastian Milton," I said. "He gave me your contact."

He seemed to recall something. "Are you Miss Reid?" he asked.

I nodded and said, "Yes, I am. I want to ask if we can really find matching bone marrow and kidneys at your hospital." I was not sure if I could trust him.

He replied affirmatively, "Yes, we do have some bone marrow and kidneys. You may send me your daughter's recent medical report. Head over to my place tomorrow and I'll take you around to have a look. We do have stock at the moment, but I'm not sure if they'd be a match for your daughter."
