Ethan blushed at her praise.
In the end, we all agreed to her suggestion and bought a lot of ingredients from the grocery store. Dinner was served very soon as we worked together to prepare the meal. Naomi said to me, "Arianna, call Hendrix and ask him to come have dinner with us. It's already late at night. He should be done with his work."
After a whole day's work, the sky outside was already dark. Everyone was here, so I asked him to come over so that we could get to know each other.
After the phone was connected, I asked, "Hendrix, are you done with work?"
"Madam, Mr. Roberts is still in a meeting. It should take some time!" It wasn't Hendrix who answered, but a woman. Her voice sounded familiar. After a moment, I realized it was Estella.
I muttered, "Oh, would you mind asking him to call me back after he's done?"
Estella agreed and hung up the phone.
I couldn't help frowning. Naomi glanced over at me, from where she was cleaning the food ingredients. She asked, "What's wrong? Is he not
done with work yet?"
I nodded in acknowledgement. Hendrix usually had his phone with him at all times. I found it strange that today was an exception.
"I called Sebastian and told him about our little get-together. He said he's on his way!" Naomi muttered.
I frowned. In Naomi's mind, Sebastian was still that elegant and graceful gentleman.
"He's coming over. I'll deal with him later. What kind of boyfriend acts like that? Arianna, you're familiar with him. You have to help me teach him a lesson." Naomi was an outspoken girl. After she was done complaining about Sebastian, she went to gossip with Yana and Ethan.
Looking at her, I couldn't help but sigh. It seemed that Sebastian had never told her anything about what happened in Oakland. But wasn't she staying with Tobias at that time? Didn't Tobias tell her anything?
Thinking of this, I took out my mobile phone and sent a message to Tobias. I asked if he ever mentioned to Naomi about what happened between Sebastian and Hendrix in Oakland.
As soon as the message was sent out, the doorbell rang. Although Naomi was complaining about Sebastian, she was the first person to rush to the door when she heard the bell. When she opened the door, she couldn't resist provoking him, "How dare you come here?" Sebastian swept a glance at everyone in the living room and smiled at her, "So, is this supposed to be a gang fight?"
