Thus, Hendrix pulled me aside, waiting for Tobias to interrogate Eason.
Tobias curled his lips and looked at Eason, who was lying on the ground. There was impatience in his eyes. Glancing at the person guarding the door, he ordered, "Go to the kitchen to get that thing. Let's make this lively."
I didn't know what he was going to do. He looked at Eason on the ground with a gentle expression and said, "Hey, why don't you fess up yourself? Don't force me to be a bad guy."
Eason lifted his head and glanced around. He looked at Tobias with a confused face and spoke, "Mr. Hayes, what do you want me to say? Just tell me what you want me to own up to. I'll do it immediately. I'll tell you everything you want to know."
"Ha- ha!" Tobias laughed, with a mocking expression on his handsome face. "Are you trying to act stupid? Well, it's alright. I guess it's time for fun," he said.
The man who had been ordered to retrieve something from the kitchen had returned. Tobias leaned back in his chair and ordered, "Let the fun
begin!"
My eyes widened in shock. I looked at him, horrified at what he was about to do.
Hendrix pulled me into his arms and said, "Don't look!" Then, I heard Eason's screams of agony.
Tobias said, "You can continue acting like a fool. It doesn't matter to me. I'm just playing with you after all. I have plenty of time and energy. No worries. You will come clean sooner or later. Take it easy. There's no rush!"
I pursed my lips and looked at him after a moment of silence. "When the accident happened, whose body did the police find?" I asked.
Tobias frowned slightly. He probably thought that my question was a little off. Eason, however, was stunned for a moment. He looked at me and said uncertainly, "It was Kaleb. He was killed by Sebastian's men. After his death, he was splashed with sulphuric acid by Sebastian."
I frowned and looked at Hendrix. Eason's words were too contradictory and uncertain.
Hendrix held the glass in his hand and seemed to be thinking about something. After a while, he looked at Tobias and asked, "Have you confirmed the location of Kaleb?"
