I paid it no mind as I shrugged. People changed their behavior all the time.
Many workers left. I went down to the ground floor and saw that no one was around. I couldn't help but look at the place where the machine was placed.
It was hard for me to contain my curiosity. I just couldn't understand why they had built such a thick wall.
"Miss Reid!" A voice came from behind. I was shocked for a moment, but when I turned around, I saw Hugo.
I couldn't help but laugh, "Mr. Lance, you haven't left yet?"
He nodded and said with a smile, "It's almost time to leave. Is there anything else you need to do?"
I shook my head, "No, I'm also ready to go."
He smiled and went to the office to take some things, and got ready to leave.
I followed him out of the base. Evan was busy and couldn't pick me up, so I tagged along in Hugo's car back home.
We didn't have much to talk about on the way back, so I couldn't help but say, "Mr. Lance, there are more than a dozen bases in Lancille Village. I don't think the buildings at the other bases are as thick as ours. Was it built with special needs in mind?"
As he drove the car, he answered, "All the bases in Lancille Village are the same. It's just that there are some bases with underground garages, so the foundations will be a little thicker and more solid. That way, security will be a little tighter!"
I nodded at his words, "Is there a garage then, in the base where the machine is placed?"
He smiled and shook his head as he replied, "No, there are many areas near here, and all the parking spots are open spaces. Lancille Village has nothing but land. In the future, most of the people who come will be tourists, so it's more convenient for us to set up an open-air parking lot!"
I agreed to what he said as well.
When we arrived at the hotel, it was already dark. Hugo was residing in Lancille village, so he dropped me off at the entrance of the hotel.
I went back to my room. Naomi was wearing pajamas and looking at her phone, doing something.
After a while, someone knocked on the door. She pushed me and said, "Dinner is here, open the door!"
I got up and opened the door. It was indeed dinner sent by the hotel waiter.
After setting up dinner, I saw that she was still looking at her mobile phone. I couldn't help saying, "Naomi, let's eat first. Stop fiddling with your phone!"
"I'll be ready in a minute!"
The steak Naomi had ordered looked good and I was hungry, so I sat down and began to eat.
After she was done, she came to my side. She looked at me and said, "The photos have all been sent to your mobile phone. Look at them, all of them are masterpieces. I've posted all of them onto your Facebook for you!"
I took the phone as I munched on the steak, saying, "What did you send to me?"
As I spoke, I opened my social media and saw the nine photos taken last night. The dress I was wearing was fairy- like, and coupled with her editing, the photos looked even more beautiful.
