My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 1103

I got out of the car and went back to the villa. Hendrix had said that morning that we would have dinner together. I gave it some thought, and supposed that it would be better for me to prepare some dishes myself.

The refrigerator was piled up with a lot of vegetables and meat, and there were also many ingredients for me to cook with.

After a lot of work, I finally finished preparing four different dishes. I looked at my cell phone and gave Hendrix a call.

My call couldn't get through, and I sat down at the dining table to send him a text message.

It was almost eight o'clock in the evening, yet I failed to hear the sound of a car engine. I dialed his number again, but my call still couldn't get through.

I called Evan. After a few beeps, he picked up the phone, greeting me, "Madam!"

"Evan, is Hendrix with you now?" I asked.

Evan seemed to have known that I would ask that, so he said, "Mr. Roberts is still in the conference room. When he comes out of the conference room, I will notify him to call you back."

I nodded and agreed to it. I hung up on the call and looked at the food on the table that was getting cold. I couldn't help but let out a sigh.

After waiting for more than an hour, I picked up my phone again to call Hendrix.

Unexpectedly, the sound of a car finally came from outside. I got up immediately and looked at the cold dishes on the table, and couldn't help but feel a little sad.

Still, I went out with a smile.

However, the person I saw at the door was not Hendrix, but Evan instead.

I looked behind him, but failed to see Hendrix. I couldn't help but ask, "Evan, where is Hendrix?"

Evan handed me a well-packaged box in his hand and said, "Madam, Mr. Roberts has a dinner party to attend to tonight, so he can't come back. He asked me to send this to you. It's from Sunshine Lake, and it tastes fresh and tender. Do have some!"

She came over to the house with the box, and I went downstairs to open the door for her.

At the door.

She was wearing a beige coat, and she looked at me, asking, "It's so cold, why are you wearing so little?"

Since I didn't feel that it was too cold, I insisted, "It's fine. It's not that cold!"

Taking the desserts from her, I looked at her and asked, "It's green tea cheesecake. Did you guys go to Southsburg Street?"

She nodded and looked at me, saying, "Try some. Sebastian said that green tea cheesecake is common in Jarold City, but the people in Asherton have different tastes, so not many shops sell them here. I found some today, and I thought that you would like them, so I brought some back for you!"

I took a bite of it, and the cheese tasted so exquisite that I couldn't help praising it, "It tastes really good. Would you like to have a try?"
