My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 1044

I nodded. I stared at the puzzled look on her face and could not help but become serious as well. "Ask!"

She hesitated then said, "When you and Hendrix used to live together, was there a time when you felt that you were unable to do something, a time you powerless?"

I paused for a moment. When it came to topics of intimacy, I felt a little embarrassed. My face became hot.

But how could I dismiss her earnest question? "What is the lack of power that you speak of?"

She pursed her lips and said, "When two people have very good chemistry together but are always one step away from that crucial moment."

I raised my hand to pinch my nose, thought for a moment, and said, "Is the hesitation from you or Sebastian?"

"Both of us!" She said seriously. "Remember that time he got injured? I didn't know much then. Since that night we've tried it several times, but it was quite awkward and ultimately didn't work at all!"

This was my first time hearing of such a situation.

It was honestly out of my depth too.

Noticing that I was lost in thought, she asked, "Was your first time with Hendrix like this?"

Remembering, I brought up the clothes I wore last time. "He even kept the clothes you wore before. You said he was the president. Why would he keep a woman's clothes for nothing?"

She looked at me strangely. "What clothes?"

"When we were in Europe, he bought clothes for you. We are almost the same size, but the accessories and patterns of the outfit were different. Your clothes ended up in Sebastian's lounge. When my clothes accidentally got wet, he lent them to me. I've given them gave it back to him though so he most probably kept it again."

As I was telling the story, I saw her frown, with an odd expression on her face. "What's wrong?"

She looked at me, and her puzzled face became a little sad. "Those clothes do not belong to me. Since I came back from Europe, I have never touched any of those clothes from that time. Sebastian has never been to my house or touched those clothes. Why would he have my clothes in his lounge? Those clothes aren't mine!"
