"Did I disturb you?"
Evie put down the water glass and murmured.
"What's the matter?" Aron walked over. "You drank four glasses of water at a time. Are you not afraid of being too full?"
Evie lowered her gaze and thought for a while.
Then, she frowned and said bluntly, "Caspian called me just now."
A cold light flashed in Aron's eyes. "Asking for getting back together?"
"No," Evie sighed, "Brian cheated on my mom and even hit her. I heard that she broke her head."
Before Aron could speak, Evie was furious. She said with a puzzled look, "I don't understand my mom. She also met a good man. My father treated her well and even spoiled her. Just like a person who had eaten good food would have an instinct to spit out disgusting things. What the hell is she doing?"
"Do you want to see her?" Aron asked.
"No." Evie shook her head. "I will be pissed off when I see her insisting on staying with that bastard!"
Aron raised his hand and gently patted Evie's back.
"Then you don't go."
"Brian is a bastard! Damn it!" Evie gritted her teeth. "No. I can't just let him go!"
"What do you want to do?" Aron asked patiently.
Just now, he even wanted to kill Brian.
He was in a good mood.
The reason was simple. Evie took the initiative to tell him that Caspian had called her. She also told him the matter that Jane was beaten.
"I want someone to beat Brian up!" Evie said without hesitation.
"Okay. I..."
Evie walked away before Aron could finish his words.
"No. I will do it myself!"
Aron was clean. That bastard would stain his hands.
"Well."
Aron followed behind Evie.
No one had said anything like that to her before.
Caspian had said, "Can you be good and don't make trouble for me?"
"It sounds nice. When I do something, you will discover more of my dark side and know I will cause you trouble. At that time, you will be annoyed." Evie lowered her head.
Aron was stunned for a moment.
Then, he suddenly understood.
So, it wasn't because Evie didn't trust him that she didn't tell him about the matter that Brian had been asking for money from her.
She didn't tell him because she feared he would feel annoyed.
Aron felt his heart was pinching hard by someone.
It made him feel painful and angry.
She must have been treated like this by others. Otherwise, she would not say this.
"No." Aron looked at her gently and earnestly. "You are my wife. We are a couple. I will never find you troublesome and always be on your side."

The readers' comments on the novel: My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup
I am at Chapter 550 and there are almost 2 stories in 1. Aron and Evie's story could very well have been made into another story. Such a waste of time because I am reading for Byron and Athena, not Evie and Aron...
Is there no new updates after this one?...
