Chapter 1901 Evil Monks
Upon awakening, Sally struggled for breath.
Elijah, who was beside her fanning her, sprang into action and helped her to sit up. "It's okay. It's just a dream."
It took a few seconds for Sally's vision to adjust as she glanced toward the clock.
While only a short time had passed in her dream, it was now nearly five o'clock in the afternoon.
"Drink some water." Elijah brought her water bottle over.
Elijah noticed that Sally had a dislike for drinking water, so he decided to solve the problem by getting her a water bottle with a straw.
This way, Sally could easily take a few sips whenever she was idle, gradually increasing her water intake throughout the day.
Sally put the straw in her mouth and quenched her thirst with a few big gulps.
"Are you hungry? The dining hall won't open until a while later. Let me take you out for dinner." Elijah gently tidied her disheveled hair and spoke to her in a comforting tone.
Sally said nothing.
After a period of silence, she spoke to Elijah with a hoarse voice, "Elijah, I don't know what to do. Micah's death cannot be meaningless. Can I take revenge on that lunatic?"
Desperately, she clutched Elijah's arm, her eyes red and bloodshot. "Why should a murderer be allowed to get away with it? What about Micah? Should his death be in vain?"
"Sally, calm down," Elijah said, embracing her and soothing her back with gentle strokes.
"I can't calm down!" Sally wailed, choking back sobs. "I can't!"
As they made their way to the door, they heard a commotion.
"You can't do this to me! You promised to aid us in contacting the doctor!"
Nigel's voice spewed with anger as he retorted, "Your daughter killed our junior brother, and you still expect our help? Have you lost your mind?"
Sally felt a shiver run down her spine, but Elijah hadn't realized what was going on.
She let go of what was in her hands and rushed over.
In the crowd, a middle-aged woman was sitting on the ground, slapping her thighs and shouting.
"It's unreasonable! When my daughter came that day, she had just come out of the hospital, and she was in a stable condition! It was you who irritated her and made her sick! If you took away the fruit knife, how could she kill someone? Now she is arrested, but you want to ignore her! What kind of monks are you? You are obviously evil people!" The woman cried and suddenly bowed down and said, "God, please help me. Come on. Look at these evil monks."

The readers' comments on the novel: My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup
I am at Chapter 550 and there are almost 2 stories in 1. Aron and Evie's story could very well have been made into another story. Such a waste of time because I am reading for Byron and Athena, not Evie and Aron...
Is there no new updates after this one?...
