Chapter 1804 Envy
Byron followed the voice and saw Mark's eldest son, Richie.
Athena couldn't help but smile as the young boy admonished them with a serious expression. "Who taught you that?" She asked.
"No one needs to teach this. When Grandma was talking, Grandpa got distracted. So, Grandma smacked Grandpa's head," Richie said earnestly.
He was a chubby boy, and his words, delivered with such seriousness, were both cute and amusing.
When he mentioned how his grandfather had been smacked, he put on a horrified look.
Athena couldn't help but burst into laughter.
She playfully nudged Byron's elbow and said, "Richie is right. You should listen to him."
Byron chuckled and nodded, saying, "I get it, Richie. I was wrong and I won't do it again."
Richie then said, "I really envy you and Uncle."
Athena was curious and asked, "Why do you envy them?"
She thought Richie was going to say she and Evie were pretty or something similar to flatter them.
However, his answer was unexpected.
"I envy them because their wives are gentle!" Richie said, lowering his voice and cupping his hand near his mouth. "My grandma, my mom, and my second aunt, they're all so fierce!"
Athena burst into laughter again.
Byron stood aside and looked at her gently.
He rarely saw Athena so happy.
It seemed that this chubby boy really knew how to flatter someone properly.
"Oh, right!" Richie patted his forehead. "I almost forgot why I'm here!"
"Don't pat your head, or you might make yourself stupid." Athena rubbed his head.
Richie muttered, "My mother said I'm already stupid, so patting my head won't make any difference."
Emily and Athena once complained about Richie's learning ability.
He had personally peeled the fruits and put them into a container.
His mother had intended to have a servant deliver it, but Richie volunteered to bring it himself because he wanted to play with his cousins.
He indeed had arrived,
but the fruits hadn't.
"What should I do? My mom will scold me for sure!" Richie asked desperately.
Athena reassured him, "Don't worry, Richie. Since Byron and I are going for a walk, we'll go back and get it with you. If your mom scolds you, I'll talk to her!"
Richie, relieved, nodded vigorously. "That's great! Let's hurry. My mom said it shouldn't be left outside the fridge for too long. The weather is too hot!"
However, since Athena was with Byron, they couldn't walk very fast.
Seeing that Richie was in such a hurry, Byron said to Athena, "I'll wait for you in the pavilion."
"Okay, then. Stay still. I'll be back soon."
"Okay."

The readers' comments on the novel: My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup
I am at Chapter 550 and there are almost 2 stories in 1. Aron and Evie's story could very well have been made into another story. Such a waste of time because I am reading for Byron and Athena, not Evie and Aron...
Is there no new updates after this one?...
