William did not come back to sleep last night.
He shut himself up in his studio and worked, but he never came out.
Alice watched on dejectedly, then took a deep breath.
Now that she had reached this step, even the worst could not continue to exhaust the feelings between her and William.
Even if tomorrow was her doomsday, today, she would still be happy with William.
There was something she had to make up for.
"Good luck, Alice!"
Alice said to herself as she lifted the blanket and got off the bed. She then pulled open the heavy curtains and bathed in the bright sunlight.
It was a new day.
Everything will start again.
With that in mind, Alice forced out a smile and walked into the bathroom to wash up.
After washing up, Alice walked into the kitchen and started to prepare breakfast.
Once Alice entered the kitchen to make breakfast, many maids rushed in from outside to congratulate her on her engagement.
"Miss Alice, Steward Daniel said that he will call you Miss Alice in the future. It's good that you're back, if you're not here, this castle will be as empty as if it's no master."
"Let's be your assistants."
"Miss Alice is back, Young Master's temper will be better. It's really good to see that."
Maids surrounded her as she talked. Alice chatted with everyone while she made breakfast.
Everyone talked at once, causing Alice's head to hurt. "Where's William, is he still working?"
"Yeah, young master hasn't been out since he entered the workshop."
The maids said.
Still angry?
Alice sighed lightly, then took the breakfast she had prepared and brought it to the table. She then walked up the stairs and reached out to the tightly shut door of the studio to knock, "William, it's time to eat breakfast."
There was silence in response.
There was no sound at all.
"Come out for breakfast. I opened the door."
Alice said while grabbing onto the door handle, she opened the door and looked inside, only to see that it was completely empty.
No one.
Where did he go?
Alice was stunned. Leaving the workshop, she ran into Daniel. After being busy with engagement ceremony, Daniel's complexion was obviously not bad.
"Steward Daniel, have you seen William yet?"
Alice asked.
"Is the young master not in the studio?" Daniel retorted. Then, as if he suddenly thought of something, he looked at the time and said, "I almost forgot. As long as young master is at home, he would definitely be at that place by this time."
At this time?
Alice was at a loss. How could she know what was special about this time?
Under Daniel's lead, Alice walked out of the castle and headed towards the empty space on the right.
From afar, Alice could see William's figure.
A small castle was built there. It was short, and the walls were painted white. However, the lines on it were very exquisite. Although the house was small, it was designed to every detail and was very luxurious.
William squatted in front of the castle while pouring milk into a plate with a milk bottle in his hand.
Two little milk cats, one white and one grey, came out of the castle. They lowered their heads to drink the milk and had two pairs of beautiful eyes open, looking especially adorable.
The sunlight swept across William's body, illuminating his handsome face, and his short hair revealed a deep outline, distinct facial features, sharp eyebrows, deep eyes, and a straight nose. The thin lip gave off a smile that was not a smile.
A pussycat, after drinking it, nudged the ground at his feet as if in gratitude.
The scene looked particularly warm and beautiful.
Alice gazed into the distance.
William squatted there and started to pour cat food on the other plate. The two kittens immediately crawled away to eat, and his slender fingers caressed the kitten's head, meowing meekly.
A smile appeared on Alice's face, but she suddenly felt that this second was so beautiful.
Simple.
Good.
She walked towards him. William turned his head when he heard footsteps, and upon seeing her, he stopped smiling. He looked extremely proud.
"Did I see a new continent? president Cullen can actually raise cats?" Alice walked over and squatted beside him and said while smiling.
Such a cute cat.
"Isn't that what you want to raise?"
William snorted while squatting there, and then threw the milk bottles and cat food bags far away, as if this had nothing to do with him.
"What I need?"
Alice was startled, then suddenly recalled Port of Heaven's two stray cats and was somewhat shocked, "They are those two stray cats? Do those two cats look so good after they've been washed?"
The two stray kittens had been dirty on that rainy day, but now they were extremely clean.
One white and one gray, one small and one big.
"Yes."
William replied heavily. His eyes swept across her face intentionally or unintentionally, observing her expression. Seeing that her face was filled with happiness, a smug look flashed across his eyes.
"So cute, so beautiful."
Alice was surprised by the kittens. She rubbed it again and again, and felt the soft fur feeling extremely comfortable, she then asked, "Why is this one so small, after so long, shouldn't it be around the same size as the grey one?"
William glared at her. Why was she so happy today?
In the dining room, the table was filled with steaming delicious food.
William sat in front of the dining table, elegantly picked up the chopsticks, and then took them away.
"I'll make your three meals on time from now on." Alice said as he sat at the side and picked up his chopsticks to eat breakfast with him, "If you go to the company, I will send you to the company. So, you can't overeat, just 80% to 90% full is enough."
William paused in his chewing.
For the next three meals, he would be able to eat the food she cooked every day.
"Are you unhappy?"
Alice asked tentatively, anticipating his reaction.
"What's there to be happy about? It's not like it's a big deal. It's just a meal to eat."
William calmly continued to eat. Alice picked up her chopsticks and was about to pick up a piece of fried egg, but William quickly pulled over the plate and placed it in front of him. He looked at her with his black eyes, "The amount you've made is too little, it's only enough for me to eat."
Alice looked at him helplessly, then picked up his chopsticks to pick up her chopsticks. Seeing that, William immediately picked up his chopsticks to hit her chopsticks, Alice went to argue again, and the two of them started to fight with their chopsticks on the table.
As they hit each other, Alice couldn't help but say, "Let me eat one."
"Let the kitchen do it!"
William was determined not to give it to her.
"You just said it was no big deal."
"It's not a big deal, but it's mine, all mine!" William slapped away her chopsticks, and Alice could only watch helplessly as he ate the fried egg.
She was both angry and amused.
"Young Master, Miss Alice."
Daniel walked in from the outside and lowered his head to them, "Mr.Brown, Mrs. Brown is here, they are here to say farewells."
Farewell?
Alice's smile faded as she looked at William. William's expression changed for a second, and then he continued to eat breakfast. Only after eating about seventy to eighty percent of the breakfast did she stand up and leave.
She followed William out.
The couple were already invited into the hall. The two of them sat on the sofa and the maids served all the fruits, pastries and tea on the table.
There was a baby carriage beside her mother, while Xavier sat there .
The five month old Xavier became lively as she waved her little hands back and forth.
Her big black eyes curiously looked at her surroundings.
"Father. Mother."
Alice walked over, sat down beside her mother, and worriedly looked at her, "Mother, are you better now? Leaving today? Why are you in such a hurry?"
"Don't worry, the doctor said that I'll be fine." She looked at Alice unwillingly, and pulled her hand, "Come, let's talk."
With that, her dragged Alice out.
