"Useless!" Jasper yelled angrily before hanging up the phone.
Back in Royal Garden, Jasper was about to fall asleep in bed when he received the call from his bodyguard.
He got up and turned on the lights. He then picked up clothes from the hanger and put them on.
There was a cold expression on his face.
A man had lured the bodyguards away and rescued Willow.
Could it be Xavier?
Did Willow want to elope with Xavier?
Jasper pictured his mother eloping with George. When his father went after them, they all ended up in a car accident. They died a tragic death.
A grippling sensation made it almost painful for him to breathe.
In the past, he could never understand why his father refused to let his mother leave. Wasn't it the better outcome for the both of them?
Back then, he was still too young to understand the emotions of adults. Love and hatred were not concepts he knew well.
Now, he was already thirty.
He had met Willow!
The incident back then seemed to be happening to him.
Suddenly, he could understand how his father had felt.
Setting emotions aside, how could a man tolerate a woman of his to still have feelings for another man? She even wanted to spend the rest of her life with another man!
Willow immediately realized she was being too anxious and nervous. Lara had also gotten worried and anxious as a result.
Now was not the time to tell Lara about what happened between her and Jasper. Knowing Lara's temper, she might go to Jasper and reason with him.
How could they possibly be a match for Jasper?
Willow was stunned for a moment before she quickly started explaining. "That's not it, Mom. I received a call from the countryside earlier. Aunt Helen suddenly fainted at home. Nobody's there to take care of her. You should go back with the kids to look after her for some time. Don't worry. I'll ask for leave from the kindergarten."
"What? Did you say Aunt Helen fell ill? She's all alone at home with nobody to look after her. What if nobody realized she had fainted and failed to get treatment for her in time?" Lara immediately began to worry when she heard Helen had fallen ill.
"Exactly. Aunt Helen had never been in particularly great health. She's also staying on her own. You don't have to worry, Mom. Her neighbor found her in time and already brought her to the hospital. You only need to go back and look after her." Willow forced a smile upon her face. At this point, she couldn't care less. She had to bring Lara and her children back to the countryside.
If Jasper came and found them here, it would all be over.
