My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul novel Chapter 1900

Back at the Atkinson residence, when Manfred woke up in the morning, he didn't go to wake Vivian.

They had returned late last night, and she might need extra rest. There was no sound from her room, so she was probably still asleep.

A maid approached cautiously and asked, "Mr. Atkinson, shall I prepare breakfast now?"

Manfred replied, "In half an hour."

"Yes, sir."

Half an hour later, Manfred glanced at the time. It was getting close to noon. After a moment of thought, he walked to her door and knocked gently.

Kemp, who was standing not far away, noticed this and recalled what Alger had said yesterday.

Early that morning, Glen had sent someone to insist that Kemp stay close to Manfred, as his current condition was too precarious.

In Kemp's opinion, it might have been better if the person inside was a ghost. That would be easier to deal with than someone imagined by Manfred.

Mental illnesses were the hardest to cure.

After knocking a few times with no response from inside, Manfred's expression darkened. He pushed the door open and entered.

The room was empty, with no trace of anyone's presence. The bed was unmade, its covers messy, but no one was there.

His face turned pale, and he called out softly, "Vivian?"

The priest had visited Manfred several times during this period, only to find him perfectly composed and rational during each encounter.

No ghosts, no delusions—he was back to normal?

Glen started questioning Alger, "It's been a month now. Aside from those two days when his behavior was a bit odd, he's been acting completely normal since. He seems fine to me. Are you sure you're not losing your touch as you get older?"

Alger was so furious he nearly blew out his beard. "Nonsense! I don't spout baseless words! At most, your grandson's inner strength is formidable.

"Even if he developed some mental illness, he might have healed himself through sheer willpower—unlike weaker-willed individuals who can't control themselves."

"That's fair. My grandson does take after me in some ways. Both of us have unshakable determination. If I had known things would turn out like this, I wouldn't have spent the past month so worried, afraid something might happen to him," Glen said, now feeling much more at ease.
