My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul novel Chapter 1856

Another maid listened for a while, her face filled with confusion. "I didn't hear anything. I only heard Mr. Manfred talking to himself."

"Did I mishear? Could it be that Mr. Manfred, living alone here with no one to talk to, has started to lose his mind? The more I think about it, the more it seems possible," the other maid wondered aloud.

"It seems possible."

"Wait, let's get closer and take a look. Mrs. Atkinson told us to keep a close eye, just in case someone is sneaking around helping Mr. Manfred."

The two maids murmured to each other as they made their way to the courtyard. They quietly approached the window and gently poked a hole in the paper panel to get a better view.

What they saw next was beyond belief.

Manfred was talking to himself while eating. His eyes would occasionally gaze lovingly at the empty space across from him, as though someone were really there.

The two maids immediately turned pale with fear. They hurriedly left the scene.

A moment later, they were standing before Zea, recounting what they had just witnessed. They vividly described the chilling scene, with one maid adding a few words after another. Zea frowned deeply, trying to process it.

"Talking to himself?" she repeated, her expression tense.

Zea furrowed her brow, feeling the weight of confusion pressing on her thoughts. There was something about this that didn't quite add up. It felt off, yet she couldn't pinpoint what was wrong.

At her side, Rhea noticed her discomfort. Her eyes flickered thoughtfully before she spoke, waiting for the maids to leave before quietly adding, "Mrs. Atkinson, Mr. Manfred doesn't seem like someone whose resolve could easily falter. It's unlikely he's lost his mind.

"I believe he might be doing this deliberately, trying to act out of the ordinary to lower your suspicion. This way, you might let your guard down and forget about him. The more cunningly he schemes like this, the more we must take decisive action. If we don't kill him, he might find an opportunity to bring ruin upon you and Mr. Cyril, one that could lead to your irreparable downfall."

Rhea had always been a person who considered things carefully. Over the years, she had been by Zea's side, wholeheartedly looking out for both Zea and Cyril.
