My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul novel Chapter 1707

Knowing the truth would undoubtedly hurt. Still, it was better than realizing too late that it was impossible to let go—especially when Harvey discovered that Alina had fallen in love with someone else.

Skylar had grown up with Harvey, and she knew he was not someone who could be easily crushed by matters of the heart.

Skylar was unsure whether Alina had seen her message. Maybe she had, but she didn't care. Or perhaps she hadn't seen it at all, which would explain why she was still with Harvey.

Five days later, Skylar spotted Alina in Harvey's Instagram feed. The two of them were playing a murder mystery game with friends. Harvey's words were full of affection for Alina.

In the photo, Alina smiled softly at him.

"What are you looking at?" Joe came out of the bathroom, freshly showered. He had been sitting beside Skylar for a while, only to realize she was so engrossed in her phone that she hadn't noticed him.

The feeling of being ignored wasn't pleasant.

As he spoke, he glanced at her screen. He couldn't help but wonder why Skylar was looking at Harvey's Instagram posts.

Skylar pulled her gaze away from the phone and looked at Joe. She told him about the scene she had witnessed a few days ago—Alina and her first love reuniting.

Joe raised an eyebrow. "From the looks of it, it seems like she's chosen Harvey again."

Skylar replied, "Yes, if she chose Harvey, then what about her first love? Running out without hesitation that day seemed like they would get back together. Or maybe something happened over the past few days that made Alina decide to stay with Harvey."

Her expression darkened, knowing that Harvey was directly involved.

Joe wrapped an arm around Skylar, noticing her troubled mood. "Does it feel like you've swallowed a fly?"

Skylar stared at the message, her brow furrowing.

Joe didn't interrupt Skylar's thoughts. Instead, he quietly went to the kitchen and poured her a glass of water. He knew that Skylar often liked to take a small sip of water to moisten her lips before bed.

After taking a sip, she set her phone aside without replying to Alina.

"I think she might be lying. If she's choosing to stay with Harvey, it's probably because something didn't work out with the other guy." Skylar's voice was laced with suspicion.

The more Skylar thought about it, the more unfair it seemed to Harvey. As a woman herself, she could sense Alina's intention. But that intention wasn't driven by love—it was driven by practicality.

If Harvey approached this relationship with the same pragmatism, it wouldn't bother Skylar. They were both adults and entitled to prioritize their own interests.

But Harvey's commitment came from a place of genuine emotion, and that was what made it so troubling.
