She looked entirely unafraid of Elsie.

She said with a bright smile, "I was just kidding earlier. How could I not help you? You really do look so much like my little sister—I've always seen you as family.

"I said those things earlier just to test you. Don't take them to heart.

"What I gave you isn't a negative item—it's just something to give you a fleeting, pleasant dream. Who would've thought you'd develop such an obsession with Joe and think you two were destined lovers from a past life?
