My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul novel Chapter 1421

It was clear that Rowan cared about Minerva. The moment he spotted her stranded by the roadside, he immediately put aside what he was doing, got out of his car, and walked over.

When he spoke to Minerva, his tone was particularly gentle, and his expression was focused to the point where he seemed to forget Madge was even there. A wave of jealousy washed over her.

As Rowan inspected the car, Madge curiously asked, "Are you a friend of Rowan's?"

She couldn't help but wonder if this woman might have been someone from his past, perhaps even an ex-girlfriend. That question seemed a bit too confrontational, so she decided to hold back.

Minerva quickly noticed Madge's puzzled expression and smiled, replying, "Yes, we're friends."

Seeing the wedding ring on Minerva's finger, Madge blinked and asked, "Are you married?"

Minerva glanced at her ring, realizing it was indeed a wedding band. A smile crossed her face as she replied, "Not yet, but I'm getting married soon."

Hearing that Minerva was about to get married, Madge visibly relaxed. It seemed her initial concerns had been unfounded.

Rowan and this woman were clearly just friends. Seeing a friend's car break down on the side of the road would prompt anyone to stop and help. It wasn't the kind of situation someone could simply ignore.

Soon, Rowan returned and said, "I checked the car. There's nothing major. I just did a quick fix. Why don't you try starting it now?"

Minerva thanked him with a smile and got back into the car while Rowan stood outside the driver's side, watching her start the engine.

When Rowan noticed the wedding ring on Minerva's finger as her hand rested on the steering wheel, his expression shifted suddenly. He pressed his lips together subtly, hiding the change in his demeanor.

She wasn't married yet, but she was already wearing a wedding ring. Rowan wondered if they had already gotten their marriage certificate.

It seemed Minerva truly cared for that man, or perhaps they had just recently made it official.

Thinking about this possibility, Rowan suddenly felt a pang of pain in his chest. An indescribable feeling tightened around his heart.

"I'll drive it home for now and have the car dealership send someone to pick it up and do a thorough inspection later. Thanks again! I've some errands to run, so I'll be off."

With that, she pressed down on the gas pedal and drove away. Rowan stood there, motionless, watching her car disappear.

A few minutes later, he finally pulled out a cigarette and lit it. Madge, standing nearby, watched in disbelief as she realized she had been completely ignored from start to finish.

And now, she had to watch Rowan staring despondently at the intersection where Minerva had vanished. Her expression darkened.

She had always thought Rowan really liked her. But today, she saw how he truly loved someone.

It wasn't as simple as buying a luxury bag or taking her out. She had always considered herself special to him, even though she knew his reputation as a flirt and that he had dated several girlfriends before.

"Mr. Jakeman, are we still heading to the club?"
