Skylar received a photo from Lizzie. Rosa's and Stephen's outfits in the picture differed from what she had seen a few days earlier, indicating that they were indeed involved with each other.
Even Aiken had sent her a similar photo.
Aiken had said it wouldn't be long. Soon, this bastard wouldn't be around Simona anymore. She stared at the picture, lost in thought.
"What are you looking at?" Joe asked as he emerged from the shower. Skylar didn't have time to pull away from the photo before Joe climbed into bed and glanced over.
Before she could say anything, Joe spoke first. "I know she's with a college student."
Skylar was taken aback. "You… You know?"
It seemed that Rosa's situation hadn't been hidden from anyone.
"Paul has been keeping an eye on her every move," Joe continued.
Skylar paused, then nodded in understanding. Paul had indeed been thorough in his work, especially since Joe's return.
He had resumed his previous diligence. The psychologist had mentioned that Paul was rapidly healing from his issues.
For Paul, returning to the busy work routine was part of his healing process.
Skylar didn't want to pretend to be overly magnanimous in front of Joe.
Joe fell silent for a moment. After a few minutes, he finally said, "Even though I lost my memory, my subconscious doesn't lie. It tells me to stay close to you."
Since their return to Jipsburg City, they had shared many intimate moments, but they had rarely delved into discussions about their feelings. This was the first time.
Perhaps it was because she had undergone surgery today, and they had both lost the most important person in their lives. This shared experience brought them even closer together.
Skylar hugged Joe tightly.

Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
