Bound To My Mafia Stepuncles novel Chapter 94

Aria’s POV

I woke up to the soft, golden light of morning spilling through the curtains. The warmth of the blankets wrapped around me, making everything feelsafe, Peaceful. My body was still heavy with sleep, but something in the air felt different. I could feel it in my chest, a kind of quiet energy that was new. The events of last nighteverythingkept replaying in my mind. The apology. The kiss. The closeness. It was almost as if the distance I’d kept between us had disappeared, but at the same time, I was still unsure of what it all meant.

I sat up slowly, the covers sliding off my body, and looked around the room. It was still quiet. A little too quiet. The brothers weren’t here. 1. was alone for a moment, and as I sat there, trying to steady my breathing, I feltconflicted. They had all been so tender with me last night, each of them showing me a side of themselves I hadn’t seen before. Enzo, Matteo, Dantethey’d all softened, not just physically but emotionally, too. But now, in the stillness, I didn’t know what to think. It was all so much to process.

I stood up and walked toward the window, pushing the curtains aside. The morning sun stretched across the sky, a peaceful blue that made the world outside look calm. But inside, my heart was anything but. I couldn’t stop thinking about the way they’d looked at me last night. How they’d held me, kissed me, and whispered apologies that reached deep into my chest. They’d been so sincere. So real.

But I couldn’t ignore the past. I couldn’t forget the way they had doubted me, had checked up on me without trusting me. I knew they were sorry, but was that enough? Was I ready to let go of the hurt and move forward?

I was about to lose myself in my thoughts when I heard soft footsteps behind me. I turned around and saw Enzo standing in the doorway, a cup of coffee in his hand. His eyes softened when he saw me, and he smiled.

Morning,he said, his voice still low and sleepy. It was like nothing had happened between uslike last night hadn’t happened at allbut I could see the unspoken words between us. I knew he was waiting for me to speak, to break the silence.

Morning,I replied, my voice quiet, unsure. I glanced at him, but I didn’t know what to say. I could feel the tension building in the air, thick and fragile, like something on the verge of breaking or blossoming. Enzo took a step closer, but he didn’t rush. He just held out the cup to me.

Coffee?he offered.

I took it from him, wrapping my fingers around the warm mug. The heat felt comforting, but my heart was still in turmoil. He was waiting for me to speak. Waiting for me to tell him how I felt.

Before I could say anything, Matteo appeared at the doorway, a grin spreading across his face. Good morning, princess,he teased, though his eyes were softer now, less playful. Sleep well?

I nodded, offering him a small smile, but my thoughts were too jumbled for me to focus on anything else. Matteo’s gaze lingered on me for a second longer, and I saw something in his eyessomething deeper than the usual teasing. A quiet understanding, maybe even a little bit of guilt.

I’m sorry,he said, his voice much more serious than usual. For what happened yesterdayand before. I shouldn’t have doubted you.

The words hung in the air between us. He looked so sincere, so vulnerable, and it made something inside me ache. I swallowed hard, trying to steady myself. I know,I said quietly. But II still don’t know if I can just forget it. It hurt.

I know,he replied, stepping closer. I never wanted to hurt you. Not like that. And II’m sorry. His voice softened, his hand reaching out to gently touch mine. It wasn’t the playful Matteo I knew. It was him, open, raw, and vulnerable.

I felt the weight of his apology settle in my chest. I could see how much he regretted everything. How much they all did. I felt my walls beginning to crack, but I wasn’t sure if I was ready to let go yet.

Just as I was about to speak, Dante walked into the room, his presence grounding and calm. He caught the look between me and Matteo, and his eyes softened. Morning, Aria,he greeted, his voice deep and soothing. Everything okay?

I nodded, not trusting myself to say anything more. Dante gave me a reassuring smile before looking at his brothers. I’m sorry, too,he added, his tone steady but full of sincerity For not trusting you, for doubting you. We shouldn’t have done that.

Chapter 94

I could feel the sincerity in his words, and a strange calm washed over me. It was like a weight was lifting, but at the same time, I felt unsure of how to react. They were all here, apologizing. They were sorry for their actions, for not trusting me, and that felt good, but it also felt like I was being pulled into something deeper. Something I wasn’t sure I was ready for.

Thank you,I whispered, my voice barely audible. I appreciate it. ButI’m still trying to figure everything out. I need time.

The three of them exchanged glances, and for a moment, I saw the understanding pass between them. None of them pressed me further. They just stood there, watching me, giving me the space I needed.

We’ll wait,Enzo said quietly, his voice thick with emotion. We’re not going anywhere. We’re in this together, Aria. Whatever you need, we’ll be here.
