Chapter 756 Insinuation
It seemed that what Faye said had happened yesterday, but in fact it had been more than a year.
Hearing Faye's words, Colin lightly raised his eyebrows and laughed. "It's true."
In fact, there was a meal that night, but most drinkers were basically drunk. Finally, Benjamin and Camila entertained them.
After a long day, Colin and Faye went to bed earlier than usual.
The next day, Faye was still asleep when she heard Colin calling in the corridor.
The voice was deliberately lowered, so it was not very clear for Faye to hear through the door panel.
She turned over in a daze and didn't took it to heart.
It was until nearly eight o'clock that Faye woke up. After opening her eyes, she habitually reached out to take the phone from the bedside, and she couldn't help frowning after seeing the time on the screen.
It was so late.
Once people were in a comfortable environment for a long time, they would tend to become lazy.
Before getting up, Faye put down her phone and took a deep breath. When she got washed and went downstairs, Colin was cooking soup with Cindy in the kitchen.
Cindy's eyes were full of helplessness. However, because Colin was her employer, she was embarrassed to show her emotions, and she could only insinuate Colin with implications.
"Mr. Farrell, let me cook the soup. You are a person who does great deeds. There is no need to waste your precious time on the trifle."
Noticing Colin stirring the soup, Cindy continued on a dare, "From ancient times, women are responsible for and good at cooking, you are a man..."
Colin suddenly interrupted her with his head tilted. "Cindy, do you think I have no understanding in cooking?"
Cindy's thought was penetrated. She gave a hollow laugh. "No, cooking is a easy thing for you."
Hearing this, Cindy looked away in a hurry, digressing from the subject. "How many spoonfuls of salt did I put in the soup in the morning? I forgot. Alas, I'm getting old and my memory is failing..."
Colin was not clear about whether Cindy had a poor memory. However, her acting skill was much better than that of young actors who relied on their appearance in his company.
Looking at Cindy pretending to be busy, Colin walked out of the kitchen with a chuckle.
Then he walked up to Faye and bent over to kiss her cheek, saying in a low voice, "I'm going to wash my hands."
He strode to the bathroom.
After washing his hands, when Colin was about to turn back to the dining room, the phone in his pocket suddenly vibrated.
Colin took out the phone from his pocket and glanced at it. Abbot sent a message in the group chat.
Abbot: [Colin, there are roses in your house. Why do we have to spend money in buying the roses for the proposal?]
