My Exchanged Mate novel Chapter 10

Chapter 10

Half a month later, I saw news about Ella. After her bankruptcy, those she had once tormented with her twisted pranks began to fight back, albeit belatedly.

The local education department took it seriously and even teamed up with a TV station to create a program where people who had suffered from school bullying shared their stories.

It was to seek justice for them and also to warn society that bullying still existed.

Meanwhile, the Alpha family of Silvermoon Pack was engulfed in turmoil.

Alpha Damien and his closest twin brother, Ryan, had fallen out..

They were twins with almost identical qualities. If it weren’t for Ryan’s strong support, Damien would never have become the Silvermoon Pack’s Alpha.

Once without Ryan’s backing, Damien’s position as Alpha was shaky at best.

I heard Damien hadn’t given up looking for me.

But someone reportedly tampered with Damien’s car.

He was in a car accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down.

Three years later, I met Ryan again.

At the time, I was walking with my little girl, who just turned three.

He spotted a little girl in a dress walking beside me, and his eyes lit up.

“Tessa, is she…?”

I knew what he wanted to ask.

I cut him off. “She’s not yours. I have sealed the mate bond with an Alpha.

He was silent for a long time.

Finally, awkwardly, he muttered, “Right… maybe that’s for the best.”

He left looking defeated.

I breathed a sigh of relief.

Actually, I didn’t seal the mate bond again.

That day, standing with Linda in the Pack hospital, I was torn with indecision and finally I just couldn’t bring myself to go through with the abortion.,

But I planned never to tell him that secret.

The day I let Tessa go, I’d wanted to say something to her the entire time.

At first, it was true I went along with Ella’s prank just to help her pull it off.

But Tessa was too gentle. When she cried, it was like a kitten’s silent sob.

And when she cried, I found my own heart aching painfully.

Unknowingly, I realized I was falling for her.

At first, it felt sweet.

But slowly, I grew afraid that Tessa would learn the truth.

I got lost in my own web of lies, desperately treating her well.

I wanted to live happily with Tessa just like that.

But I didn’t know who she really loved-me, or Damien.

I even thought of getting her pregnant, using the pup to rise in status.

That was my only shot at winning.

On the day of the mating ceremony, I wanted to tell her the truth, but I was terrified of how she’d react if she knew the

truth.

I’d planned it all out.

I’d tell her the truth gently.

I’d tell everyone that I love her. I love her so much.

The day Tessa was caught for the abortion, Damien lost it. He grabbed me by the throat and roared, “Who the hell gave you permission to sleep with her?”
