Chapter 790 A Possibility
After hanging up the phone, Rosalie looked at the time and felt it was almost time for her to make dinner for the little ones.
The two little ones were quietly stacking blocks on the carpet.
When their mommy walked downstairs, the little ones looked at each other, but they did not ask any more questions.
“Mommy got to work tomorrow night. Do you agree if I ask Mary to babysit you guys?”
During dinner, Rosalie mentioned her work plan to her sons.
The little ones were confused as they looked at her and asked, “ Why is your work at night? Is it a business dinner?”
Rosalie had never kept anything from work a secret from the little ones. So, she explained patiently, “Uncle Xander and Mommy have made new progress in a joint project and need to attend a signing ceremony tomorrow.” 1
The little ones looked at each other and thought of the same question. “Will Uncle Xander go too?”
They remembered Xander and knew he was their daddy’s love rival.
Rosalie nodded. “Mommy and Uncle Xander are both going.”
As she answered, she saw the strange expressions on the little ones ’ faces.
“What’s the matter?” Rosalie was confused.
The little ones shook their heads quickly. Then, they looked at Rosalie cautiously and asked a question that troubled her.
“Mommy, do you plan to make Uncle Xander our daddy?”
They had no idea if daddy had asked their mommy this question, but they chose to ask on their daddy’s behalf anyway.
When Rosalie realized the little ones’ concern, Byron’s face emerged in her mind.
Although the little ones and Byron’s questions were phrased differently, they were intended to mean the same thing.
“Mommy! We have done eating. We will go upstairs now,” The little ones took a few bites of their food absent-mindedly and jumped off their chairs.
Rosalie felt stranger.
In the past, the little ones would eat more than this. Rosalie wondered why her kids were acting weirdly.
The little ones seemed to realize they were anxious and explained guiltily, “We did not sleep well last night and are sleepy now.”
As they spoke, they put on an exhausted look.
Recalling the disturbance last night, Rosalie nodded and did not overthink the little ones’ strange behaviors anymore.
However, she noticed the little ones walking briskly up the stairs and did not look sleepy.
