Half an hour later,
Fu Si came to pick up Chi Gui.
The two descended from upstairs, and as Chi Gui approached the bar, she didn’t see the envelope that was supposed to be there, "Hmm?"
"What’s wrong?" Fu Si, wearing a light-colored trench coat and tall in stature, stood beside Chi Gui, helping her carry her bag.
Chi Gui said, "The Alliance was supposed to have sent a letter over."
The cleaning lady, overhearing Chi Gui, said in surprise, "That letter is yours? Why was it thrown on the ground unattended? I thought it was trash, so I threw it away... Ouch, what a mess... The trash bag is still outside, not yet taken away, maybe you can go look for it..."
Fu Si frowned slightly.
Qin Cheng, who was standing at the entrance, had already turned to walk outside, ready to rummage through the trash bags.
Chi Gui, however, didn’t seem to mind and stopped him, "It’s not very important, let it be if it’s lost."
She spoke nonchalantly.
Fu Si and Qin Cheng, unfamiliar with the medical community’s affairs, also assumed it was unimportant and didn’t bother any further.
This year’s entrance assessment was set on the first floor of the Medical Alliance headquarters.
Driving there, before even reaching the place, Qin Cheng could see from afar the towering Medical Alliance building in the center of M Country’s city.
The building, a mixture of black and white, comprised twenty-three floors. Even across some distance, Qin Cheng could feel the solemnity emanating from the structure—
This tower of the Medical Alliance, burdened with the weight of life, represented the entire M Country and was also a temple in the hearts of medical scholars worldwide.
By the time they reached the front of the Medical Alliance building, Qin Cheng parked the car with a touch of caution.
