Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman novel Chapter 2371

Chapter 2371

Madeline dared not gamble on Ava's safety.

She glanced around. There were passing vehicles but no passersby.

Even if there were passersby, it was not easy to ask for help.

Madeline followed the man to the other side of the road, only to discover that the car she lent Ava yesterday was parked there.

The man drove this car and followed her to the vicinity of Jackson’s school.

Someone must have told him her route since he was able to figure it out within a day, and this person was none other than Naya.

In the hospital.

Naya was lying comfortably on the bed. She had long been fine, except for a little flesh wound. She was basically unscathed, but the woman who was hit by her was still in a coma in the ICU,

She picked up another spare mobile phone. When she was about to make a call, she saw her mother walking in nervously.

Naya hid the phone and asked suspiciously, “What happened? Why are you panicking?”

Naya's mother was pale, looking as though she was at a loss. “Dead... Naya, that woman is dead!”

Naya's expression immediately froze. “What? What did you say? Who died?”

“It's that woman you hit. The doctor just informed me that they couldn’t rescue her and she died!”

However, she had not eaten for almost the entire day and only had a few sips of water. Hence, she did not have much energy. After struggling for a long time, she felt that the ropes were even tighter now. In fact, she just had no more strength.

Ava leaned against the wall tiredly. She wanted to rest for a while and then continue with her escape plan, but suddenly, she heard the sound of a car's engine outside.

Ava decided to give up struggling. She thought the man was the one who came back, but to her surprise, she heard two sets of footsteps. The other set of footsteps sounded very familiar to her.

She opened her eyes to look in the direction of the door, and the next second, she widened her eyes in surprise.

“Maddie?” Ava thought her eyes were playing tricks on her. However, the person who approached her was indeed Madeline. “Maddie, why are you here? Why were you kidnapped as well?”

Ava was worried. She wanted to get up but could not. Madeline quickly ran to Ava to untie the ropes around her limbs.

However, the moment she untied Ava, the man’s shadow towered over her from behind.
