Chapter 2344

Ava also heard footsteps approaching. When she was about to look back, a strong arm suddenly stretched out and grabbed her shoulders.

Ava wanted to dodge, but the man held her even harder and pulled her to the side.

Just as Ava was about to break free, something seemed to pass by her side from the corners of her eyes.

Crash!

The sound of something shattering could be heard from beside her.

Ava froze for a moment.

“Are you okay?” A familiar and concerned voice entered her ears at this time.

Ava snapped back to her senses and raised her eyes. In her doubtful gaze, Tom's extremely handsome face was reflected in her pupils.

“Mr. Lowe?” Ava was very surprised. “I-I’m fine.” Ava spoke incoherently as she had yet to recover from what had just happened.

She turned her head to look in the direction where the sound of the shatter came from, only to find that a flowerpot had fallen to the ground less than a meter away from her.

In other words, a flower pot had fallen to where she was standing just now. Coincidentally. Tom saw it, so he rushed over to pull her away.

Ava looked at the broken flower pot with a silent sigh of relief. Then, she turned to face Tom. “Mr. Lowe, thank you.”

Since Tom and Ava were in the office together, Madeline did not need to worry.

After Ava got into the office, she immediately went to her seat to start working.

However, when she turned on her computer and sat down, she felt like something seemed strange about her workspace. Upon taking a closer look at things, she saw that the handle of the mug she usually drank from was broken. Some of her files were even out of order as if they had been tampered with.

Ava could not help recalling the flowerpot that shattered next to her.

Did someone do it on purpose?

As she thought about this, her computer screen lit up in front of her. However, what appeared was not her usual wallpaper but an abnormally scary photo.
